Each time she got sick, and after she was all cleaned up she slept on a pallet on the floor by my bed...with a bowl. She also spent the day resting and watching shows. She was a trooper.
After the third time, everything was the same until around bedtime on Thursday. I went to get her in the bathtub and noticed she had hives on her torso. No other symptoms and they weren't bothering her. Of course my hubs was out of town. {Everything seems to happen when he is gone!} I called my sister since she is a nurse just to get her opinion. She said to draw around them with a pen so I could see if they went away or got bigger or anything.
So I busted out the old ink pen and drew around Landry's hives. Poor girl couldn't believe I drew on her! Most of the hives went away fairly quickly, but then would appear in other spots. I started to think all of this had something to do with swimming lessons. She had swimming lessons on Wednesdays at 4:00. Since she was getting sick exactly 6 hours after swimming I was convinced it was more than a coincidence. Long story short... after calling Emler to see if they changed anything in the water, and a trip to the doctor it was thought to just be a major coincidence and probably swallowing too much water was making her sick. The hives were probably unrelated and the doctor said a person can get hives for a hundred different reasons and as long as she wasn't running a fever or showing any other symptoms, she was fine.
I love that I had pictures of her hives and where they were when I was at the doctor. These were very mild in comparison and noting to be alarmed about. Nothing a little Allegra couldn't fix.
