Learning.

Our littlest girl is learning so many new things these days. She is loving that she is in school and she especially loves doing her own "homework" when Ashton is doing hers. She likes to get a piece of paper and practice writing her name, her letters, and drawing various pictures of things.

These next few pictures showcase a few things I wanted to capture...
In this picture she is working on writing the letter "c". She is pretty excited over this letter since it is in Bryce. She is also pretty tickled because she knows Carly's name starts with a "c".
I absolutely love these preschool hands holding that big fat crayon!

Another thing I love is that she is "reading". She loves to "practice" her reading. She either looks at the pictures and tells her own sweet story or we have read the book to her a gazillion times and she has it memorized. These are such great skills that are setting her foundation, which will help her tremendously when she learns to actually read.

This next group of pictures really kind of surprised us. Each time we tie her shoes, we talk through what we are doing. Her "job" is to make the first "x" then we take over from there. She has tried on a few occasions to do it herself, but her little fingers just couldn't quite get it. Until the other day.

Our FOUR YEAR OLD TIED HER SHOES ALL BY HERSELF!! I thought it was a fluke and that she wouldn't be able to do it again. She proved her Momma wrong.

She tied them for Ashton. She tied them for Daddy. She tied them for the camera. It was pretty darn exciting and she was bursting with pride and excitement! {The only shoes she can tie are her Twinkle Toes because the laces are flat and gripped so it makes it a little easier.}

I absolutely adore this little face!

Why is it that my littlest girl (my baby) is growing up way faster than her sister did? I love her determination to be just like Ashton, but I really wouldn't mind if she slowed down just a teeny bit.

Being able to tie your shoes is a HUGE deal and we are so excited for her and so incredibly proud of our Lan-Lan P.
