A Quick Trip to Waco

After the ankle drama, the girls and I went ahead with our quick trip to Waco. My Aunt Becky and Uncle Les were in town and we wanted to visit with them since we missed seeing them last year. We were able to watch Parker play t-ball which was hilarious and we made a trip to the Cameron Park Zoo.

We got to the zoo as soon as it opened so it wasn't crowded and it wasn't hot. Most of the animals were out and about since it was feeding time, which was cool to see.

Ashton was the Queen of the Zoo...or so she thought standing on this giant rock!

Since Landry couldn't walk, she and Parker had the luxury of being pulled in the wagon and Jon was so sweet to be the puller!

Ashton and Grampy checked out the map to figure out where we needed to start...

...while Little Miss Thing enjoyed her solo ride in the wagon. It was hard for her to stay in the wagon because she really wanted to get out and keep up with Parker!

We saw some great animals but the girls especially loved watching the tiger cubs play with each other.

The jaguar chillin' right up at the window was pretty cool too!

We had a fabulous time and enjoyed our company. We finished up at the zoo and met Ninny at Viteks for a delicious BBQ lunch before we headed home. It was a quick trip and we are glad we went and had the chance to visit with Crowls before they embarked on the rest of their trip!
