Ashton got a new "Big Girl" bike for her birthday. She desparately needed a new one since she had basically outgrown her other bike. Well, when you move up to the next bike size, it is a big kid bike. A bike with the brakes on the handle bars and gears...yepper, that is where we are. How?!
She could not wait to get that brand spankin' new bike off the patio onto the sidewalk to give it a whirl. So after dinner, we took the girls out for a bike ride.
All day, she got on and off her bike while it was parked on the patio. She "practiced" using the brakes every chance she got.
She is in L-O-V-E with her bike!!
Both girls were ready to hit the pavement on their bikes.
I was a teeny bit worried that she would have trouble adjusting to the new parts of her bike...
...but my worry was not necessary. She got on that bike and rode it (and stopped it) like a PRO!
And this little pint sized bike rider thought she was hot stuff too!
I love evenings when we get to go outside and and play. Ashton is hoping that Daddy gets a new bike for his birthday so they can go on "real" bike rides around the neighborhood.

um. that bike looks HUGE. unacceptable. good thing that bike rider is so dang cute! and the pee-wee biker is dang cute too!
