Daddy's Birthday

Daddy's birthday wasn't actually today...it is tomorrow. We decided to celebrate it today since tomorrow is "Softball Night in America" and Daddy has a game. The girls were not happy about celebrating his birthday early, but they came around to the idea.

This is Daddy's 38th birthday. If he had it his way, we would have completely skipped the celebrating, but with two little girls who absolutely love birthdays, there was no way that was happening.

We usually have a hard time deciding what to get him (he is difficult to buy for and rarely gives us any hints or ideas) so when we came up with the idea to get him a Kindle we (Ashton and I ) were pumped! We were pumped until last week when he came home from work with the new HP Touch Pad which, oh by the way,  has a built in Kindle.  Back to square one we went. Daddy did tell us there was a book he wanted called Lone Survivor...apparently everyone else wants that book too because it was nowhere to be found. This birthday in the gift department was turning out to be a bust!

Landry wanted to give Daddy Jelly Bellies (his absolute fave) for his birthday. She had so much fun looking at every single bin and choosing what colors to get him. She kept asking when we could give him his presents. She of course blabbed to him what we got him, which of course irritated Ashton to no end. Daddy was still excited and thrilled.

We let Daddy decide where to have his birthday dinner.  He knew he wanted to go somewhere he had never been before so he chose a yummy pizza place called  Grimaldi's.

They gave the girls some pizza dough to play with while we waited for our pizzas.

After our fantastic birthday dinner, we headed home for cupcakes and singing, and presents!

We sure do love this Daddy--our Birthday Boy and getting to celebrate his special day!

Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday Dear Daddy...
Happy Birthday To YOU!!
We decided to get Daddy his own new bike for his birthday, but we wanted him to pick it out. Daddy was super pumped about the bike. He said it was way better than a Kindle because now he could ride his bike with Ashton. Landry has figured out that if Daddy gets one of those carts you pull behind your bike or a "carseat" to put on the back of his bike, than she can go on these bike rides too. In any case, Daddy ended up having a fantastic 38th birthday.

Happy Birthday Daddy....we love you!!
