Our Little VIP

As part of our Spring Break fun, we planned a little get away from the apartment and headed down to Waco to visit my family.  We were able to catch a Baylor Softball game on Tuesday night.

Grammy told the softball coach her granddaughter was coming for the game so he kindly gave us tickets to the game, plus he had an extra special surprise for our BG after the game. The seats were awesome...we had such a great time!

Our Little BU Fans
Jon (my nephew) had picked these signs up for the girls from when ESPN had College Game Day at Baylor a few weeks ago. The girls were super excited to have these rolling signs for the game!

Auntie Megan and Parker met us at the game...these two were so cute holding hands as we were walking into the stadium. I love that they are only 3 weeks apart!

As soon as the game began, it was time for cheering and a few snacks that Auntie Megan brought for the kiddos.  This was Landry's first "real live" Baylor sports experience and she thought she was hot stuff!

I tried to get a picture of both girls with Grammy and Grampy, but a certain 3 year old wasn't in the mood so Ashton got to have a solo picture instead!

Cousin Jon and his girlfriend Holly also joined us at the game. And sweet Jon let the kids hang with him in his lap when they got a little antsy (even after Grammy had already taken the Litttles for a walk).

One of the perks of having your Grammy working in the Athletic Department at Baylor is you get access to places other people don't. Remember the surprise Coach Moore had for Ashton? Well, he told Grammy to bring Ashton down onto the field after the game for a tour of the locker room and to meet the players.

Ashton was super excited and screamed with excitement when we told her. She was literally BEAMING while she was on the field. She got to watch the coaches do their interviews up close and in person! And then it was time for the tour of the locker room by a few of the softball players! Now she has had tours of both the Women's Basketball Team's locker room and the Softball Team's locker room!

The Lady Bears won 5-0 and almost had a no hitter!

Seeing Grammy's and Grampy's names on the chairs at the softball  stadium was also pretty neat!

Here is Ashton's poster with most of the girls' and Coach Moore's autographs on it!

The goodies didn't stop there. Grammy totally HOOKED Ashton up. She gave Ashton one of these cool "Britney Griner Easy Buttons".  The button plugs into your computer and illuminates. You push the button and it automatically takes you to Britney's website.  ARB could not wait to get home and try it out. She has been checking on Britney's website almost daily since she got it!

Ashton was treated like a VIP on Tuesday and we owe it all to Grammy! Thank you so much Grammy for getting us tickets to the game and for making the game so special for Ashton. I am  not gonna lie, I absolutely LOVED watching Ashton's face glow with excitement as she enjoyed every moment of the game! It meant a lot to us that Grammy took time out of all her craziness with March Madness to come to the game with us!

Holy cow your girls (and you!) get the BEST perks thru your Mom!! What a major treat!!!! Sounds like it was a SUPER fun day at the ballpark! There is nothing better than watching ANY game that up close and personal! It can even make me think baseball/softball are kind of exciting. ;)
