Happy Halloween

Halloween this year was jam packed with lots of fun but was also missing some very important key components. We dressed the girls in their super cute matching Halloween shirts that Mamo and Papo bought them and went to Target to get some "football food" for lunch.

Then we took some pictures with Uncle Todd before Daddy and Papo took him to the airport.  He had to get back to school so we were only able to have him with us for a short time. We enjoyed it while lasted but were sad to see  him go.

Could we have gotten two more opposite facial expressions?

So after Uncle Todd left, we spent the day resting, watching football and just hanging out.  Ashton literally could not wait until it was time to get ready for the annual trick-or-treating festivities with our peeps.  We picked up some Rudy's BBQ for din-din then got the girls dressed and waited for our peeps to arrive.

The BryceLeonardScheer gang always get together in one of our neighborhoods and the kids all trick-or-treat together. Well this year the important key components we were missing I mentioned earlier....the Leonards. Yepper...the Leonards had to miss out on the Halloween fun this year because not one but BOTH of their girls were sick!  Carly came down with a fever on Saturday which turned into a yucky tummy bug. Then at 12:30am the tummy bug hit Macy so the Leonards were up most of the night with two sick kiddos. What a BUMMER!

So we got our girlies all dressed and ready to go, took some pictures while we waited for the Scheers to arrive, then headed out.

Our Sassy Salsa Dancer (minus her gloves~we totally forgot to put them on) and our Bitty Bumblebee

A Bumblebee has to smell the flowers...right?!

A little Salsa dancing on the sidewalk...

The Big Kids minus one Macy Gwynne: GT the Red Wing Hockey Player and ARB

The Gang minus CA and MG

The Scheer Kiddos

Once we finished with all the pictures we were off. The kids had to trick-or-treat at our house first just so they don't start with an empty bucket.

Our line of kids was too short without Macy and Carly. We sure did miss them this year.

Once we got back, the kids checked out their loot and made a few trades but we didn't hang out long since it was a school night after all.

Landry was loving that she was able to eat a Twix for her one piece of candy and couldn't get the wrapper off fast enough.

... ... .... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
Since the Leonard girls were sick and couldn't come, they at least felt good enough to go put on their costumes and hit a few houses on their street.  Miss Jodi and I shared our pictures with each other since we couldn't all be together.

Macy G...the Movie Star

And {Poor Sick Baby} Carly...the Pink Princess

They didn't get much candy but we ended up taking them a bunch. Since our girls got a ton we shared and  gave Carly some that she could eat. Mamo and Papo brought a bunch of candy for the kiddos and even super sweetly remembered to bring candy that Carly and Grayson could eat which was a hit!

The Leonard girls ended their short evening by snuggling up and watching It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

We had a blast....we loved having Mamo, Papo, and Uncle Todd here for the weekend. We loved that Mamo and Papo were able to go trick-or-treating with us. We loved having the Scheers with us and missed the Leonards. Hopefully next year we will all be together again for the festivities!

Us grown ups (Mamo, Papo, Daddy, and Mommy) ended the evening as we always do, with a glass of wine and a healthy competitive game of cards.
