Ashton just wrapped up her FOURTH Red Ribbon Week. This is one of her favorite weeks of the year and she takes the lessons and messages she learns seriously! I am so glad she knows right from wrong and I love how her school reinforces these important values all while having fun at the same time.
Mrs. Neal (the couselor) had the week packed with fun, special days that reminded the kiddos that they need to make good choices every day!
Monday ... Don't let unhealthy choices "tie you down"
{Wear something tie dye to go with your tie dye bracelet}
Tuesday ... "Boot Out" bad choices.
{Wear Boots}
As you can see, there is no picture from this day. Our Rule Following First Born would not wear boots to school today because it was her PE day. I told her she could bring tennis shoes for PE and you would have thought I suggested the most ridiculous thing EV-ER! She didn't want to waste the time changing her shoes, she didn't want to be late for PE because she had to change her shoes, so she decided to forgo the boots for today.
Wednesday ... Red Ribbon Day
{Wear RED to show your support in being Drug/Alcohol free}
Thursday ... "Launch into making good choices"
{Wear your Boosterthon T-shirt}
Since today was her school's Boosterthon Fundraiser, they didn't give the kids their shirts until they got to school so we took a "pre and post" picture.
Friday ... Carroll Kids make GOOD choices!
{Wear your favorite Carroll spirit shirt}
RRW was a success, the Watch D.O.G.S {Dads Of Great Students) were on hand to help the students plant a "seed of friendship" for surprise spring blooms in the front of the school. Each grade participated. Ashton was thrilled with RRW and along with the fun, she gets the message and she knows to make her own healthy and good choices. I love the "Rule Follower" in her and we are so proud of her!
