Knob Reunion...Part 2

Saturday we had a family picnic as part of the reunion activities. It was a nice and very casual setting. We had lunch, chatted, boys played a little washers, and the kids played on the playground.

Mommy & Miss Becky {she is a huge Missouri fan since that is her alma mater...she wore her gold and I just happened to be in black so we made the MU colors nicely in our picture}
The funny thing is that MU is like UT here....everyone was wearing black and gold. Daddy and Miss Becky
Landry, Grant (Becky's son who is 3 weeks younger than Ashton) and Ashton hanging out wishing they could go back down to the playground.

{The reason my kids are dressed the way they are is that when I checked the weather to see what I should pack, it said it was going to be in the low 70s. I don't have many fall clothes for my kids yet so this is what we had. They were totally over dressed and a little hot since it wasn't in the low 70s.}

I think I need a different hair style....yuck!
One of our classmates was killed in a car accident 4 years ago. A couple of our friends made this memorial for him. We signed cards to give to his mom...we missed having him him there. At one point, Landry put herself in the corner for no reason. She likes to do this when we are at dance for Ashton and she just decided to this while we were here. This kid is a hoot!
There were some awards given out you know....most kids, traveled the farthest, lived the most places, married a classmate, lives closest to the school....it was a fun little activity. {sorry for the yucky picture quality}
And of course there was cake! It was delish! A & G loved showing off their mouths covered in black frosting. This is the only way we could get a picture of Grant...believe me I tried!

After the picnic we headed back to the hotel so Landry could take a nap and Ashton and Grant could go swimming. Daddy also took Ashton to meet his buddy Chris' mom. Miss Liz pulled out lots of pictures of Daddy and Mr. Chris when they were little and Ashton loved it!

Just before we headed to an early dinner, A & G played a little DS...

After dinner, we left the kids with Diann. She took them swimming and let them play for a bit before bed. The four of us grown ups headed to the "Adults Only" get together for a fun evening.

Nikki and I knew each other in Hawaii then I moved to Knob after our freshman year. Then she moved to Knob so it was neat that we met up again. That is how the Air Force works sometimes.

We had a super fun time. We got back to the room waaaaayyy too late but it was totally worth it. We are so glad we went. The girls had fun and we got to see so many old friends. I still can't believe I am old enough to have had a 15 year reunion!
