One of the first things we recieved in her folder with a grade on it was a Spelling Test. Every Monday they take a pretest on the spelling words for the week. If she gets them all correct or misses one she gets the challenge list. This has been the same since Kindergarten. Actually, in Kinder and First they had to get all 10 words correct, but in second grade she can miss one which she gets again on Friday in additon to her five challenge words.
So this is one of her first Spelling Tests...
Since she got the all the words on the pretest correct and the five Challenge words on Friday, she got a 105%! {The five challenge words are Bonus Points.}
What a FANTASTIC way to start off the school year Ashton! We are so incredibly proud of you. Keep up the good work!!

couple things.
1. how is it possible that ashton - the SECOND GRADER - is writing on regular lined notebook paper? dude.
2. 105%!!!!!! that girl is one smart cookie...although i'm not the least big surprised!!! :) way to go, big girl!
3. grades?!?! ew. i seem to remember holding her in one arm not that long ago and now she's getting GRADES! whatev.
