(Warning: This is LONG since it is documentation for the blog book. Feel free to peruse the pictures!)
Today was Landry's actual birthday...we had a lot planned for her special day. Ashton was so excited to finally celebrate her baby sister's birthday. She asked me, "Does Landry know it is her birthday". When I told her that Landry had no idea, she thought that was a bit strange. I love how a six year old mind works.
So here is a re-cap of how her special day went...
When she woke up, we sang "Happy Birthday" to her and got Ashton off to school. Then we took her to have her one year pictures taken...they turned out AWESOME! We ran a few errands, came home, had lunch, and took a nap to get ready for the "BIG" afternoon we had planned for her....After Ashton got home from school, we let Landry open the presents from us and from Mamo & Papo since they weren't going to be at her party.
Ashton loved hers...and Landry's has become her new fave these days.

Part 2: Headed to the mall...
After opening her presents, it was time to head to the mall for Ashton's present to Landry. She wanted to make Landry her first Build-A-Bear.
Right before she was going to get the bear stuffed, she let Landry see which one she chose...Landry loved it and cried when Ashton took it so the lady could stuff it. Ashton kissed a heart and made a wish to put inside of the bear. The lady even let Landry kiss a heart to put inside. Then when the bear was soft and cuddly, Ashton gave it a bath and named it "P Pie" since that is one of the names she calls Landry.

Time For Dinner...
So after the carousel ride, it was time for dinner. Landry had one of her all time favorite meals from Chili's...pizza and french fries! Not so healthy, but a fave.***
Daddy's Birthday Flower...
After we got home and got jammies on, Daddy gave Mommy and Landry their flowers. When both girls were born and on every birthday, Daddy gives us flowers. Landry was supposed to get a pink tulip and mommy a white tulip, but this year Daddy couldn't find one anywhere so he chose a pink Daisy for her and a white one for momma. He always writes the sweetest cards to go with them...

Landry had a very busy birthday, but she did great. When we got home, lots of people called to wish her a Happy First Birthday. We put the phone on speaker so she could hear them talk/sing to her. She loved when people sang to her so much that she would cry when we turned the phone off.
We can't believe Landry Paige turned ONE! We enjoyed celebrating her day with her!
Next up...the birthday party and her 12 month post!
