This year for Landry's birthday we combined some of her favorite things and had a super cute and fun birthday party with a few of her friends. She loves breakfast for dinner, pancakes, and pajamas--so we turned those things into a PAR-TAY!!
She had lots of opinions about what she wanted. She wanted the colors to be turquoise and purple. She wanted the kids to be dropped off. She wanted us to blow up balloons they could bop around. She wanted sprinkles with her pancakes. We did our best to full fill the birthday girl's wishes...and she was happy!

We had fun with the decorations...unfortunately, the lighting at our kitchen table is awful from about 4:00-7:00 every day and that just happened to be when the party was!
{3 types of syrup in easy to squeeze bottles, and tissue paper flowers madey by Ashton}
{Fruit Loops and string for their necklaces, toppers for their stacks of pancakes}
{Goody bags filled with a cute lil Monkey pillow, glow sticks, and a Fancy Nancy Pajama Party Book}
{A little birthday sign and Landry's candles to go in her pancake stack}
Ashton made the tissue paper flowers and ended up with this giant one..she found the perfect spot to display it on the table with the place mat decorating materials. Landry LOVED that Ashton made the flowers for her party!
After the girls arrived and decorated their place mats, they played "Musical Pillows". I wasn't sure how it would go...but once the girls were out of the game, they got to be in charge of the music for the next round.
After the game, it was time for a little "Fruit Loop Necklaces". They were pretty quiet and concentrating extremely hard on stringing their fruit loops!

While Daddy was making the pancakes on the griddle, these little girls had a blast bopping balloons all over the playroom. Landry LOVES this game and wanted her friends to play too!
So easy...and so much fun too!
And...of course, leave it to our party girl to have a melt down and crawl behind the chair at her own birthday party. I should have played the song "It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To!" I can't remember exactly why she was crying (it might have been because she didn't want the girls to play with anything...but I felt like I needed to document the moment.
We were a little busy with the pancakes, that we didn't get a single picture of that part of the party. And we didn't get any pictures of her opening her presents either. Oh well ... it was a fun and successful party. Our Birthday Girl enjoyed it and it turned out like she wanted it to!
These two goofballs wanted to be silly for the camera.
After all the partying was done and the guests had gone home, Landry stripped off her jammies and hung out with some of her new accessories for her bear that the Leonards gave her.
This was probably my most favorite party that I have done for Landry...probably because it was exactly HER! She had a say in the planning, and it was all about her favorite things at the age of five.
Landry's Turquoise, Purple, Pancakes & Pajama Party is in the books!
