Randomness :: November

It's time again for my favorite post of the month...

Landry is always cracking us up...this day was no different. She said she wanted to take her nap in the playroom so, I told her she could. When I came up to check on her, I found her asleep in the playroom closet. She made herself a little pallet on the floor and had her bag of books. It was pretty cute and she was 100% asleep. I grabbed my phone and took a picture to send to Daddy at work!

Ashton's BIG math project and major grade was to come up with and create a cookbook. She had to find recipes,  halve one, double one, and triple one. She worked really hard on it was proud of how it turned out. I love that she chose to make a Christmas  Cookbook full of recipes we make at Christmas Time. {I had planned on taking more pictures of her book when she brought it home, but her teacher wanted it to use as an example for next year. Good thing I at least took this one before she went to bed the night before she turned it in.}

Several months ago, I bought a 16x20 canvas through a Groupon deal. I had originally planned on using it when we made our canvas gallery wall in our kitchen nook...but I didn't get the pictures taken before the Groupon expired. I had to go to  come up with plan B...which was this precious picture of Landry playing dress up. I LOVE this picture and it goes perfectly in our playroom. Bobby was out of town when it arrived and I was so excited for him to see it, that I took a picture and text it to him.

One of the clubs Ashton was involved in this year was the KC (Kindess & Compassion) Club. Earlier this month, the group visited a Nursing Home near our neighborhood. They made decorations for the residents to hang on their doors and when they came to deliver the ornaments, the group sang Christmas Carols in the lobby. It was such a great experience for the girls and and the residents enjoyed having the girls there. The residents asked when the group was coming back to visit...so the girls are trying to plan a time when they can come back and play Bingo with the residents.

Ashton is loving her softball team and they are adjusting to the Select level of competition. This is truly a great group of girls with an excellent coach. We are so happy she is a part of this team!

Landry goes through many outfits a day...She came downstairs after her nap to pick Ashton up from school wearing this lovely ensemble. (the riding boots are the best $11 I have ever spent, the black bloomer bike shorts and boots make a lovely combination...don't you think?!)

Landry has a major love for reading and books..which makes this teacher momma very happy! I love when I find her sitting and "reading" books to herself!

Daddy was out of town for work so we sent him this picture to start his day off seeing his girls before they went to school! The girls love that we do this and so does Daddy!

I love when Ashton's silly side comes out. We were having pasta for dinner and she decided she wanted to use chopsticks with her dinner. Chopsticks don't only have to be used for chinese food right?!

This shirt suits her...some days it is a good thing I thinks she is cute. She can drive me absolutely bananas, but I wouldn't trade her for the world!

We were getting ready to leave for school and she insisted I take a picture of her blowing a kiss to her Daddy and send it to him. I am a sucker and don't pass on a requested photo opp!

Ashton asked if she could wash my window while Daddy was putting gas into my car. She realized it is harder than it looks.

I am not sure how I ever survived without a smartphone. I feel like I  take a ton more pictures now that it is so easy! I am able to capture so much more with the convenience of my phone. I love documenting the little daily moments and look forward to the girls looking back on them one day.
