Tourney Time!

Texas Twist Softball has been in full swing for over a month now. Since the weekly league they were going to play in didn't have enough teams sign up (Fall isn't the main season for softball), our coach added more tournaments to our schedule. This past weekend we traveled out to a little town about 30 minutes east of Frisco called Princeton for a tourney.

Ashton has become quite serious about her game days. She even wanted us to create a "Game Day Playlist" on her ipod  full of songs to get her pumped up and ready for some softball! She was in total game day mode and listened to her music in the car.
I couldn't resist this picture and since Daddy was out of town for his annual Guys Trip to Austin, I sent it to him so he could see that we were "Game Day Ready".

I mean...the serious concentration on her face is pure greatness!

She played a little first base (she is a utility player and can pretty much play any position they need her to).

After the first game, we had a little break and didn't have to be back until later in the afternoon for the next game.  About half of the team ended up at IHOP for a little brunch. While we waited for our table to be ready, we snapped a few pictures...

Once we came back for our afternoon game, we had few minutes before our game started so we took a few more pictures with the whole team!

{we always have to have a silly picture!}

This is the crew of softball sisters. They all have sisters who play on the Twist and they always have stuff to do during the games--especially at tournaments. Hayden had the little girls totally occupied and having fun during the game!

I love this picture, I only wish it wasn't blurry! They do this before each game. They gather at the pitcher's mound with their arms around each other and Maggie (our catcher) does a little cheer/chant with an echo to get the girls pumped up!

The girls played so well this tournament! It is neat to see them improve with each game they play. They are also becoming closer as a team which is a huge part of the game! Daddy was sad to miss the games on Saturday, but was home in time to make it for the game on Sunday!
