pumpkins on the prairie

I am pretty sure I have mentioned this before, but I am going to say it again anyway. We love traditions and we love the people we share our traditions with. What I don't love is how hard it is to find the free time in our schedules to fit these traditions in. We have been doing many of these traditions since the days that Ashton, Macy, and Grayson were toddlers. We love planning these specials things and the kids love doing them together.

Now that there are six kiddos in the group and they are all involved in activities, it makes planning a little difficult. We always do our best and for the most part we are able to make it work. Choosing pumpkins, taking pictures, having pizza and carving pumpkins is one of our favorite traditions. And lucky for us, we found a Saturday that everyone could make it!!

We opted for a super close pumpkin patch  field which was perfect. The kids love spending time with each other especially since it doesn't happen as often as it used to!

Just before we headed out to meet our peeps, I managed to have the girls sit long enough for one picture together.  I am not sure how much longer I will be able to get Ashton to wear a Halloween shirt and match her little sister, so I figured I needed to document it while I had the chance!

These two "Littles" as we call them were pleased as punch to find some mini pumpkins.

While we waited for the Scheer-Mixons to arrive, Ashton, Macy, Landry and Carly  scoped out the pumpkins in the bins.

I love that Landry and Carly still stop and pose for the camera...they sure do take some cute pictures!

Carly is a crack up! I love that she was making a face at the jack-o-lantern!

The girls picked their perfect pumpkins...Ashton took off to find her buds as soon as she found hers, so she missed the photo opp with Daddy. Landry was pretty proud of her pumpkin.

Oh these two...they are getting to be so BIG and GROWN UP!

Mr. Andrew and GT were sweet enough to cheese it up for the camera...and Jack got in on the action too.

Once the pumpkins were picked, it was time for the hay ride. Our crew took up the entire trailer.
I love all the pictures we snapped...

That is Carly doing a cartwheel...the girl loves to do cartwheels and will bust them out where ever she is!

The weather was perfect. We had all of our peeps. The kids had fun. Perfect Pumpkins were found. It was a great day at Pumpkins on the Prairie. Next up....Pizza and Carving!
