Bobby LOVES homemade ice cream. We used to have an ice cream maker, but got rid of it since we rarely used it. Bobby found a recipe for homemade vanilla ice cream in our Frisco Style magazine and was convinced we HAD to try it out. So we now have an ice cream maker...and on Labor Day weekend we tested out the new recipe. It was DELISH!
Landry mimics pretty much everything we do. Usually it is Ashton that she is copying, but this time it was me. I had put a sticky note on Bobby's mirror one day and a few days later, Landry had put one on my drawer.
Landry is making her own Mystery Bag for school, but not really for school. This is something her class does each time they learn a new letter. Her teachers assign the Mystery Bag to one student for each letter. The kiddo takes the bag home and fills it with things that begin with the letter they are learning. She was so bummed she wasn't chosen so she made her own Mystery Bag and shared it with us. She found all these objects on her own. Since they are learning about the letter C, here is what she came up with: camera, cup, can, cookie, crayon, cat, cupcake. She is waiting very patiently for her turn to have the real Mystery Bag.
One morning while Landry was home sick but was totally fine and going stir crazy in the house, she and I headed out to the patio so she could play. I brought my book and my coffee. {Random...but Ashton and I are reading the same book and it is awesome. It is called Out Of My Mind about a young elementary aged girl with cerebral palsy}
It isn't easy being the little sister and spending all day at a softball tourney. But it makes it a little better when your Auntie Heather takes a break from watching Ashton to color with you. We learned pretty quickly that Landry needs a bag of tricks to keep her occupied at the games.
Our favorite Texas Twist Player!
We are loving that so many of the Baylor Football Games are on tv! This momma can't get enough pix of my girls in their Baylor Gear! Sic Em.
Just one of the days when LP was sick with her weird Wednesday sickness. Good thing the i pad has some good educational games on it to keep her still and occupied!
My BFF since I was five comes to Dallas quite often for work. So when she is here for more than one night, we try and get together for dinner. I love that we get to do this! Not the best picture but we felt bad since there was a couple who just got engaged right before we asked our waiter to take our picture. It was weird because they didn't ask anyone to take their picture, but we asked for our to be taken! Becky lives in St. Louis and her son is 3 weeks younger than Ashton!
Ashton has been saying she wanted to have her haircut like mine. So we took her to Miss Dena to get her haircut. She absolutely LOVES it...I do too but man it makes her look so much more grown up!
While Aunt Becky The Great was here visiting, we went to Costco. Ashton has wanted this giant teddy bear for forever. She decided to spend her own money to buy it. It was hilarious and quite a sight to see us in my car with this giant bear. I snapped this picture before everyone got buckled up and we left the parking lot. It was squished in the way back seat with Ashton and Brodie!
She loves this bear...she looks quite comfy!
Sitting in the car while is Sis at batting practice...once again it is hard being the little sister when you don't get to participate. She is a trooper and handles it really well.
Landry won't miss an opportunity to play softball with Ashton.
There you go...our month of September in random pictures!
