I promise that after this post, you won't hear me going on and on about my oldest little girl turning TEN!!
Today is the day....for her she is FINALLY TEN, and for me...holy cow she is TEN!!
We all woke up ready to celebrate a very special birthday for our first born!
ASHTON RALEY...10 years old!!
Daddy and Papo went to run a few errands, the most important being the traditional birthday roses for me and my sweet girl! I had to get a few pix of the Birthday Girl and her Daddy...love them both!
Mamo snapped a few more pix of the family to document this special day...
After the mini photo shoot, we headed to the Birthday Girl's activity of choice...the movies!
Papo let Daddy drive his Corvette...
The girls and I found seats while the boys grabbed some snacks. We watched Brave...such a cute movie, which shockingly, Landry fell asleep toward the end!
Mamo and Papo had this special birthday sign made in honor of Ashton's big day...
...complete with two of her favorite things these days: peace signs and softball!
We met Uncle Todd for dinner at a Mexican Restaurant for a little more birthday celebrating.
After dinner we headed back to the house to end the birthday celebration with some delicious cupcakes. The Birthday Girl chose chocolate cupcakes with Miss Jodi's homemade peanut butter frosting.
Somehow, Uncle Todd slipped out to get a quick haircut and we didn't realize it until we were ready for cupcakes. So we waited patiently for him to get back...but not without some silliness to pass the time!
Ashton and Mamo did what they always do when they are together...sang God Bless America!
And Little Miss was busy playing with "Baby Mamo" in the new stroller she somehow convinced her Papo to get for her today!
I can't believe this sweet, precious, and beautiful girl is TEN YEARS OLD!
I am the luckiest mom on the planet...and I am glad she is mine! I hope everything she wished for as she blew out her candles comes true!

*The best part of the day happened just as we were getting ready to put her to bed. Mamo saw Ashton's pajamas and it dawned on her that she and Papo hadn't given her birthday presents to her yet. And....Ashton never mentioned it. Sweet Girl! We couldn't believe she went all day without opening one single present on her actual birthday!

so glad that she spent her big day surrounded by people who love her instead of in the car! i know that you all spoiled her rotten! looks like she had a blast! love her happy 10 year old smile!
