Last Storm Game

Our little softball player has played on many teams since she began as a t-baller.  Fortunately, we have been blessed to have the opportunity to be with some great kids, coaches, and parents. This spring season, we had to change teams and sort of go in "blind" if you will since Coach Eric from the Cubs could no longer coach anymore due to work commitments. And since none of the other parents could or would take the team we had to go our separate ways.

We originally thought this might be a good time for Ashton to get on a team with the girls from her school so we tried that route. The Pink Panthers were full and luckily, she ended up on the Storm with a few girls she has played with on the Cubs. This was a great team with an awesome coach. Coach Knickerbocker is a middle school teacher and football coach {baseball was his thing back in the day just like Daddy's} and is phenomenal!! We could not have been happier with him!

The girls finished the regular season in FIRST place!  They only lost one game and they played horrible that game...it was actually a good thing for them to lose once--a reality check of sorts!

The season always ends with a Post Season Tourney. The weather ended up pushing the tournament back several times leaving us with a very limited number of girls who weren't already gone on vacation to play. We needed 8 to play and were only able to get 7 to show up so her team had to forfeit the game. It was a total bummer....the girls were so disappointed! We ended up playing the game {for fun} since both teams were there and we had the field.  Even with 7 players, we still won 9-2!

Since this was our last game, Coach Knickerbocker passed out the giant first place trophies to the girls...

This was such a great season for Ashton on the Storm...and it was her last season with Kaitlyn since she is moving this summer.

Way To Go FIRST PLACE STORM!!
