We started out the day with dress rehearsal...Ashton and Daddy stayed at home while I took Landry to the high school. She was a chatterbox the entire way there.
I snapped a few pictures before we left the house just in case I wasn't able to get some at rehearsal...
While we waited for it to be her turn, she posed for a few more pix with precious ballerina moves!
And you can't have on your costume without doing a fancy ballerina spin!!
This *might* just be one of my fave pictures (if only there wasn't the mess in the background)!
To make her day even better...she was thrilled that Carly arrived for her dress rehearsal at the same time.
After dress rehearsal, we headed home for a little lunch before it was time to be back for the real deal. We got to the school, did her hair and make up and took some pictures. I absolutely love the costume Miss Jaclyn chose for the girls...it was perfect for their Cinderella song "Bippity-Boppity-Boo".
She did NOT love the make up which is odd because most little girls love that part of the recital!
There were only two little girls in her class for recital. Isabella's mom wasn't so sure she would actually go through with the performance. We were prepared for Landry to do a solo...that would have been hilarious. I am quite sure Landry would have done just fine up on that stage by herself, but it was fun that she had a classmate to dance with her.
We were so proud of Landry...she did awesome! She pranced out onto the stage like she owned it. She did her dance perfectly and didn't want to leave the stage! We could not have asked for a better first recital dance for Landry. Miss Jaclyn was an amazing teacher and taught her so much!
Reese came to watch and cheer Landry on which made Landry so proud and excited! Hopefully next year they will be able to dance together on stage for the recital!
Here is a picture with her teacher, Miss Jaclyn. We love and adore Miss Jaclyn, she was an awesome teacher and made Landry's first year perfect and special!
She held Carly's hand and stood next to her waving to the crowd! She is definitely going to be our little performer!
Macy and Carly did amazing in the show...they are old pros now after performing (and winning all kinds of awards) their dances in competition. Carly was able to dance a few new ones too.
It was a little weird to me not having Ashton in the recital this year. She decided on her own this year to stop dancing and focus on softball. We are proud of her decision and proud of her for making it on her own...she was a fan in the crowd this year and cheered on Macy, Carly and Landry. She was excited for her friends and enjoyed being a spectator!
{You can't tell by looking at Miss Jodi, but Recital Day was also her birthday and she turned another year older! We were happy to spend a little time with her on her special day and look forward to celebrating after dance season is over. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS JODI!!}
We left the recital just in time for dinner. The Leonards had to stay since the girls were performing in the second show for the Company Team, AND they had a wedding reception to attend so they weren't able to join us. We let Landry choose where to go for dinner and she chose one of her all time faves--Uncle Julios!
When we got home, we let Landry open her End of the Year Recital Gift. She squealed with delight at her blinged out Dance tank top! It was a long day, but one that was so much fun!
We are so incredibly proud of how well Landry Paige did on Saturday. She rocked her first ever dance recital and more than anything, we are just glad she had so much fun doing it!
