spring break :: day eight

Poor Landry was miserable. She and I had to "sleep" (which we actually didn't do that much of) in a  chair because it hurt her to move at all. Not to mention we were giving her Tylenol and Motrin as often as we could to try and help her pain. It was awful! The bright side was that I was able to see a gorgeous sunrise over the ocean!

The doctor we had seen at the Urgent Care place called us bright and early and told us that the radiologist had seen a fracture on her elbow. So he  called the ortho doc he uses for his boys and was able to get her in as soon as we could get there. Once we had Ashton taken care of with the Gees, we were on our way to get a cast for Lan-Lan P.

Ashton went for a walk on the beach with the Gees, then she and Kaitlyn played a little catch before they set up camp at the beach. We were so thankful that she didn't have to be dragged around with us. At least she got to enjoy her last day of vacation on the beach.

After getting P-Monkey all fixed up in her purple cast and a slushy for being a trooper, we headed back to the beach just in time for lunch.
We didn't stay on the beach very long since I didn't want her to get sweat or sand in her cast, plus she needed a nap! Daddy took her down and let her get her feet wet one last time.

The rest of the gang hung out on the beach a little longer while Landry and I went and took a much needed nap. After the fun at the beach ended, we got all cleaned up for some family pictures on the beach before dinner.
The shirt I packed for Landry to wear in the pictures wouldn't fit over her cast so it was a good thing I had a cami for her to wear! I snapped a picture on my phone of her with her cast standing in front of the window with the beach in the background.

Our first family pictures on the beach....
I am absolutely in love with this picture--My three favorite people in the entire world!

Just as we were finishing up our pictures, our dolphin friends came back. It was the perfect way to end our week at the beach!

We had the best time on our first ever beach vacation--well other than the broken elbow drama. The girls created some fabulous memories. It was one family vacation for the books!!
