Painting Pumpkins

I love this time of year. I love all the traditions our little family has created over the years and the new ones we have come up with too. One of the things we did last year (that we decided needed to be a tradition) was pumpkin painting. The girls usually get a small pumpkin from the pumpkin patch which is perfect to use for painting.

Unfortunately, our October has been kind of crazy so we haven't had a chance to go to the pumpkin patch as a family yet, but our littlest girl went with some of her classmates last Thursday. While she was at the pumpkin patch, she chose two pumpkins that were perfect for painting! So after we picked Ashton up from school on Monday, the girls had  their "pumpkin painting party on the patio".

The girls had a blast painting. Ashton followed her plan that she sketched....Landry got pink paint in her hair, all over her hands and arms and legs...both pumpkins got the glitter treatment after the paint was dry....it was a successful pumpkin painting party!
