It's that time of year...the time when the girls both get so excited about choosing their costume for Halloween. Ashton's was probably the easiest one we have ever had. She chose the costume she couldn't be last year (since we couldn't find it in her size). This year, we ordered it online (super duper early--we couldn't run into the same problem two years in a row) and she was pretty stoked when the box was delivered to our front porch and waiting for her when she got home from school!
Landry on the other hand wasn't as easy. After browsing through the costume catalogs, she decided she wanted to be a "candy corn fairy". Easy enough. After school one day, she and I headed to the party store to get her costume...only to find out that they didn't have it. She was DETERMINED to leave that store with a costume. After some negotiating and discussing, we agreed to go home and look online.
As soon as we walked in the door, we plopped ourselves down in the chair and perused the choices online. We found the "candy corn fairy" but once I looked at it more closely, I realized the costume had to be worn with the hat to look cute and I knew she wouldn't wear the hat. Once we "discussed" the hat situation, she agreed and decided on her final choice. She was happy as can be with her choice and could not wait for the package to land on our front porch.
Luckily for this momma, it only took a couple of days and she was super thrilled when the UPS man made her day. We barely made in the door before she tore it open!
Don't you just LOVE the "post nap hair and jammies" for this occasion.
She was so excited and we just had to try it on immediately. It looks cute and now we can't wait for Halloween to get here!
