Ashton just finished her first week in 4th grade at a new school. The verdict is in and she LOVES her new school! I think this was the most nervous I have been in all of her years of school. Bobby and I both had pits in our stomach all day, just hoping that she would like her new school and that she would have a great day!
One of the things she loves the most about the start of school is finding the perfect first day outfit. She chose a super cute skirt to wear on the first day, but since she had PE on the first day (again), she couldn't wear it. She has had PE on her first day of school every single year. Now I think it would be neat if the trend continues next year and then we can say it was that way for her entire elementary career. However, I don't think she is down with that idea!
We took pictures every morning this week to showcase her first week outfits. Here is a rundown of her first week as a 4th grader...
~Monday~
This little First Day Picture is going to be yearly tradition from now on....I only wish I had found this idea (or thought of it myself) back when she started school. Oh well, I guess starting with 4th Grade is better than not at all. This genius idea came from Pinterest...and maybe by next year I will be taking better pictures!
Landry cried when we left Ashton at school...she has LOVED having her sisser home with her all summer so when we left her at school, that left us with a very sad little sisser. She made a picture for Ashton and could not wait to give it to her! {It took until Thursday before the tears stopped when we dropped Ashton off at school}
After school, we went for our annual first day treat. Ashton chose Nana Yogurt. We met Maddi and Jocelyn there too which was perfect! Ashton loved being able to share all about her day and at the same time hear how things went at Carroll. We think everyone else in our zip code had the same idea. That place was jam packed and it was waaaayyyy too hot to sit outside, so the girls enjoyed their frozen yogurt in the car. Ashton and Maddi were in the third row seat while Landry and Jocelyn sat in the back seat. It was perfect!
We were SO relieved to hear that she LOVED her new school, and made some new friends! We let Ashton choose what we had for dinner. She chose shrimp cobb salad and chatted all the through dinner. That is the kind of first day we like!
~Tuesday~
This was the outfit she chose for her first day outfit...love it!!
~Wednesday~
New outfit number three
~Thursday~
PE day number two and sis didn't want to be left out of the picture taking!
~Friday~
She was pretty happy to sport her new blinged out spirit shirt to end her first week!
