Warning: I am about to sound like a broken record.
I can't believe that my oldest just turned NINE and I can't believe that tomorrow she will start 4TH GRADE!!! For some reason (just like every previous year) it gets more and more difficult for me to process what is to come with each new school year. The girls are growing up way too fast for my liking and I am trying to keep up and enjoy every moment.
I am going to miss spending all day with my Big Girl...that is one thing I love about summer. I wanted to have one last day of fun with her before school starts tomorrow. So yesterday....she and I had Date Day! I let her choose what she wanted to do.
She decided that she wanted to go to the movies and have popcorn for lunch. So that is exactly what we did.
Daddy snapped this picture of me and my almost 4th Grader before we headed out the door. We were both looking forward to our girl time!
We had a Lil Sis who wasn't exactly happy about us going without her. However, once Daddy told her he was going to take her on her own date with him...she was beyond excited. And of course, she wanted to have her picture taken too. They ended up having a fantastic lunch date at her all time favorite place: Chick Fil-A!
I didn't take any other pictures of our Date Day...we were busy enjoying our popcorn for lunch, seeing the Selena Gomez movie (Monte Carlo), and doing a little headband shopping.
I thoroughly enjoyed this Date Day with Ashton. I hope she is always excited to hang with her Mommy! I can't believe she is entering 4th Grade. How is that possible?!

we really need to have a date day with us and our big girls again! do you know the last time we did that was in 2008?!?!
