...Day Seven...
Thursday was the day we headed to Tennessee for some fun at Mamo-the-Great's lake. Before we left, the girls and Mamo planted their flowers. Landry was not as interested in the flower planting as Ashton. Ashton has always loved helping Mamo plant flowers. It has become a tradition that Ashton and Mamo started the first summer we came to visit. Landry just helped when she felt like it....she preferred playing instead!
This is the pot we gave Mamo for Mother's Day. We know she loves to plant flowers and when we saw it we knew it would remind her of her Texas Bryces. We were right...she LOVED it and she loved that the girls helped her pick out and plant flowers in it!
After lunch, we headed to Tennessee. Once we got there, the girls busted out their surprise from Papo--Remote Control Cars!! Mamo-the-Great has the longest and best driveway for playing with remote control cars...
After we got settled, we headed out to the lake for some swimming fun while Daddy and Papo made a run to the grocery store.
Ashton was determined that she was going to learn how to dive while we were at the lake this summer. Uncle Todd helped her...they did it in stages and started on the giant tube since it wasn't so far away from the water. By the time Daddy got back from the store, she had it down from the tube. We were all pretty impressed with her!!
She was just as proud of herself as we were of her! Diving off of a giant tube in the lake was a big deal for our cautious first born. It was a very exciting afternoon!!!
Uncle Todd made the comment that he didn't like Justin Bieber. Ashton was shocked and couldn't believe he hadn't seen the movie. She worked on him all week and finally convinced him to watch it...the other end of the deal was that Daddy needed to watch Harry Potter. Uncle Todd, being the fantastic uncle that he is, watched the Justin Bieber movie with his nieces. He ended up not disliking JB as much as he thought, the best part for him was watching the girls dance and sing during the movie. While we were inside watching the movie, everyone else was out on the deck enjoying the evening just chatting away about anything and everything. Mamo grabbed my camera and took some pictures.
Day Seven was a FUN day at the lake!!
