I can't believe that my youngest is wrapping up her first year in preschool. On Thursday, she had her End of the Year Party--let me just tell you that the girl was pumped! Her year in the 2's class has been fantastic...she has really loved it and she has learned so much. I just love that she is a sponge and she soaks in everything that goes on in her classroom.
I am one of the room moms for her class so between being busy leading the party and having a very clingy little girl, I didn't get many pictures. {For some reason, the ONLY time she is clingy when it comes to school is if I come to volunteer IN the classroom}
The party was pretty easy and went very smoothly...they had a special snack, juices boxes, and they made a keepsake place mat for their craft. We also had the opportunity to play with the kids during center time.
She doesn't have juice boxes often so when she gets one, she sucks it down in record time. I am pretty sure she didn't even take her mouth off of the straw for a breath! She wasn't a fan of the rice krispy treat--shocker! {oh and please excuse the quality of the picture....it was my point and shoot and I was trying to get it in before she got up from her chair}
The kiddos had a ball with their place mat. I had come in the day before to take an individual picture of each kiddo and a class picture for them to put on their mat. Then we traced their hands and cut them out. After the big stuff was taken care of, they stuck on their labels and went to town with the stickers.
We had enough time to get the place mat laminated before the party was over so the kiddos could take them home. Landry was pretty proud of her place mat (she put everything exactly where she wanted it) and couldn't wait to show Daddy and Sisser.
After a story on CD, a Bear Hunt, and "Friends, Friends Jump Up and Down" the party came to an end. She loved her special day at school. I loved that I was a part of it...I can't believe her year in the 2's class is almost over. This year seems to have flown by...she is ready to roll next year in the 3's class!

DUDE! i can't believe that lp's first year at ac is almost over! NUTS how fast this year went!
and the placemat turned out totally ADORABLE! i love that you did an individual pic of the kids too!

Elyse LOVES her placemat! Thanks so much for taking all the pics and all the other work that went into it! I am so sad this school year is almost over. Another "first" coming to an end....sigh. But it's been a good one!
