In honor of our upcoming trip to Mississippi for the Fewell's Annual Peace.Love.Family Reunion (yes we are crashing and the Fewell family is graciously letting us) this weekend, we had some impromptu family craft time. I am not going to lie...this was tons of fun and I think we are going to have family craft time way more often!
Since the theme of the Family Reunion is tie dye and everyone shows up in tie dye stuff we had a bit of a problem. Our girls didn't have anything to wear and when we found out that Peyton and Cameron didn't have tie dye either, we thought it would be fun to make the kids some shirts.
We gathered up the needed items and once we finished with dinner we transformed the itty bitty apartment kitchen into our tie dye work space and went right to work.
These two were EX-cited and could barely stand the waiting part! So Daddy took a cute Sisser picture while I finished getting it all set up!
Daddy went first and made Cameron's shirt (you know the boys gotta stick together and we didn't want CG's to turn out girly in any way). Landry sat close by and "instructed" him on how to tie dye.
Sis was up next with hers...
...and then P-Money had her turn. She knew exactly what she wanted!
Ashton got the giggles and sillies while we got our tie dye on....love her and that smile and that laugh!
All done and letting the colors soak in over night!
The finished products:
Top: Peyton's and Cameron's
Bottom: Ashton's and Landry's
It was so cute because the big girls chose tank tops and Landry wanted a t-shirt so she could match Cameron. The kids will look so cute in their tie dye shirts and I can't wait for a super cute group picture!
