Over the weekend we didn't just get to watch Carly do her thing...we also had the chance to watch Macy at her Starpower Competition.
Ashton takes dance with the Prep Team at Prodigy. She didn't audition for the team this year for a couple of reasons, but Miss Camille still allowed Ashton to take ballet and jazz with the Preps. Macy is on the Prep Team and it worked out that Ashton and I had the opportunity to make our way to Arlington so we could watch Macy and other Preps compete.
These pictures are compliments of Miss Jodi...I managed to leave the house without my camera and lucky for me, Miss Jodi always has hers!
Ashton was so stinkin' excited to put on her "Prodigy Purple" to support the girls. As we walked up, the girls just happened to be outside running through their first number and Ashton immediately darted to them and the squealing began! It was absolutely precious and it made Miss ARB feel so good that Macy and the other girls were excited to see her! The sweet Prep Mommas quickly had the girls get together for some fun pictures with Ashton.
I love these lyrical costumes...the aqua and the orange look so good together!

This was the hip hop routine that Macy wasn't in...she actually got to sit with us in the audience for a bit during this number. These girls can d-a-n-c-e!!
And last but not least, the tap routine. This was a HARD routine and the girls totally rocked it! We loved hootin' and hollerin' in the audience for them after each dance!
I realize this picture of Macy and Ashton is very grainy, but we didn't get one of the two of them together and after cropping and enlarging this one, it came out grainy. I don't care...I still love this one of them and I especially love that Ashton was wearing her "BEST FRIENDS" necklace (the one that she used her own money to buy and she gave the other half to Macy). These two girls are BFFs and have been since the day met as teeny tiny babies. I love their sweet friendship and look forward to watching it continue to grow over the years. It reminds me of a picture out of a newspaper.
We love supporting our peeps every chance we get and we especially loved watching Macy and the other Preps perform at Starpower. The dance competition world is something new to us! Macy did awesome and we had a great time! We are so, so, so proud of MG... and we look forward to watching her dance again!

i just can't even tell you how much it meant to macy to have her bff there cheering her on! thanks so much for making the haul of a drive...it meant the world to an 8 year old - AND to me too!

I got a little teary reading this thinking of my own bff from childhood! Very special. I love the faces on these dancers...I can only imagine the dancing! They look like such good actresses too and like they are putting everything they got into it!
