Yesterday I had a very special date with my Big Girl...we went to the AAC to watch the Lady Bears play in their NCAA Sweet Sixteen game! We have been watching all the games on tv and when we knew they were going to be in Dallas we immediately took advantage. Grammy got us tickets and since LP isn't quite "ready" for a b-ball game yet, she and Daddy stayed home and watched it on tv.
I didn't take many pictures at the game, we wanted to enjoy the moment and take it all in. We did take a few...
Ashton loved watching the warm ups and got so excited to see Britney Griner dunk in person....it was awesome and the place went nuts!
The Lady Bears won so they are now headed to the Elite 8 trying to make their way to the Final 4 for the second time in a row and the third time in school history. We were lucky enough to go last year...what an awesome memory that was!
After the game...
One of Ashton's favorite things about the games is finding Grammy. She spotted her at the scorer's table by the bench during the game, Grammy came up to see us before the game started, and we watched do her thing when the game was over. An added bonus was that Grampy also came up for the game so we got to see him and talk to him for a bit after the game and before we came home.
We love us some Baylor Lady Bears...Sic 'Em!
