Elmo LIVE!

Today I had the chance to have a super special date with my THREE year old sidekick.

We decided that we would take Landry to see Elmo LIVE and she was all kinds of pumped. We took Ashton to see it when she was three with her best buds and once was enough for her.  Besides she would have been the ONLY kid there over the age of 4 and she wouldn't have had a good time. So Daddy took  Ashton on a date and I took Landry on date.  Just like Ashton, Landry got to see Elmo with her best buds.

It was such a fun day and I am glad we ended up going.  She really had no idea what to expect, all she knew was that she was going to see Reese and Elyse and she was going to see Elmo and his buddies.

Once we got there, while the girls were taking it all in, we took some pictures of them. It was a little tricky trying to get all three to look at our cameras at the same time. Left to right: Reese, Landry, and Elyse.
The Mommies even got in FRONT of the camera for a change!

After the pictures were all taken, it was time for a snack/souvenir.  Lan-Lan had seen two things that she really, really wanted and I let her have her choice: a light up Elmo wand or a sno cone in a Sesame Street cup.  She chose the sno cone in the cup. So that is what she got and that is also what Reese and Elyse chose.
They were  LOVING their sno cones!
She did surprisingly well with the sno cone. She ate every last bite of that thing and only some of it got on her clothes! {Oxy Clean Laundry is my new BFF in the laundry room these days...it gets out everything!}

I tried to get a "good" picture of their sno cone mouths...Elyse's was the best!

We had awesome seats....right in front of the stage and close enough that the girls could see really well. They were so giddy and excited as soon as the music started.

The girl was in total awe....she was singing and dancing and smiling and just loving the show.

Daddy took Ashton to see the Justin Beiber movie "Never Say Never" in 3D. She was so excited!  However, even though I requested pictures, they didn't take any...not one, so I had  to snap this one when I got home. They had a fantastic time together on their date...and to top it off it was a great movie!

The Elmo show was very similar to the one we took Ashton to see when she was three. It had a great message about how to stay healthy and energized.  We had a fantastic time with Landry's peeps!

... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

Now, let's take a walk  down memory lane....shall we?  Back in February of 2006 Ashton, Macy, and Grayson  went to see Elmo Live . They were also three years old and they look especially bitty in these pictures since they are now eight years old.  We had so much fun on this outing with the kids...what makes us  laugh is the  {quality or lack there of and the horribleness} pictures we took. We were awful photographers. Jodi is a ton better these days and I have slightly improved but WOW....the pictures from back in the day were rough to say the least. It's a good thing  the kiddos are cute and that makes up for the icky pix!

Even then we couldn't get them  to ALL three look at the camera at the same time. One of these days, they  SO aren't gonna like us for putting  these pictures where people can see them, but it is documentation after all and that is what I do!
Our BG...love that face!
Those are Mr. Bill's fingers behind sweet little Macy Gwynne's head...isn't she precious?!
GT....LOVE him and all his cuteness!
Ashton's reaction to the show was quite different from Landry's. Ashton was a very noise sensitive little girl and spent much of her younger years with her fingers in her ears. Once she realized it wasn't too loud she did  eventually take her fingers out of her ears but this was typical Ashton back then!

I love that we have pictures of the girls experiencing Elmo Live with their friends.  I loved seeing how each of them reacted and how each of them loved it.  These are definitely memories I am glad we made!

And good choice girls on the snocones. pretty much made me want to go find one right this second (hello, prego). Such a fun treat to have Mommy all to herself I bet too. I gotta make sure we do the same!

I loved doing this with the little girls! Can't wait to do it again! You got some great pics. (can I just point out that Elyse picked out/was insistent on wearing all the pieces of that mismatched outfit?!). Thanks again for organizing the outing. :-)
