Christmas in Alabama...Day 2

Day two was a lot like the first day.  The girls spent the day in the kitchen making lots of fun treats and snacks with Mamo. They were really missing their cousins so we decided to make a sign to let the England Fewells know how much we wished we were spending Christmas with them too.

Mamo's new cookie press gadget thingy was a hit with the girls.  They made all kinds of things with it.

One of the things we had planned for this trip was for each of the girls to make a super comfy and cozy fleece blanket.  We had gone to Hobby Lobby yesterday to pick out the fleece and I have to say that I am not at all surprised that my girl chose zebra print. She wanted to do zebra and turquoise but they didn't have turquoise  so purple (Prodigy colors) was her second choice.  She was in love and had fun making this blanket. She tied every single one of the knots herself. It was the perfect activity to work on while Lil Sis was taking a nap.

During all of the cooking and baking, Ashton and Mamo busted out in to some patriotic songs (like they always do). They serenaded us with the Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America. I cracked up at the pictures because they were so into it and you can totally tell what words they were singing!

...o'er the land of the free.....
Totally a classic moment and such a cute memory they have. I love that this is something they LOVE doing together!

Once the cookies were finished, everyone got in on the sprinkles action.

It was such a great and productive day.  You might have noticed that Landry is wearing (or not wearing) something different in every picture that would be because the girl LOVES putting on and taking off her clothes. She especially loves wearing pajamas. You should have seen her suitcase...she had pulled out all of her clothes trying to find the jammies.  And then she decided to ditch the clothes all together.
