Thanksgiving 2010 was very much the same, but also different at the same time.
We got up early and headed down to Waco to spend Thanksgiving at Grammy's and Grampy's house just like we always do. However, this was a rare year when Grammy wasn't traveling to some fun place for a basketball tourney with the Baylor Lady Bears so we were all kinds of happy to have her home this year.
We left our house at 8:30 am and didn't get to Grammy's and Grampy's until 11:30. TXDOT had I-35 south completely shut down so we had to detour, but downtown was flooded with runners running the Turkey Trot so we had to find another way to get going in the right direction. Then we had traffic which is very unusual and one of the reasons why we make the trip on Thanksgiving Day. Anyway, we eventually made it safe and sound.
Everyone met at Grammy's and Grampy's house. Well almost everyone. We were missing Auntie Jenn and her girls since they live in WV and for the first time ever we were missing Chris since he moved to IL in September.
After dinner, I convinced everyone to take some pictures. I wanted to take them outside really quick-like but nobody was game for that. They said it was too cold so I had to settle for inside pictures.
The youngest of the bunch...Parker, Ashton, and Landry
It isn't exactly easy getting two almost 3 year olds to look in the same direction at the same time....but the 8 year old is an old pro at looking and smiling!
See...it always seems to be 2 out of 3
And a picture with our girls...tongue out for Landry
Seriously Ashton?! A great picture of the two of them, but ARB is giving her Lil Sis some bunny ears.
And there you go...good but not a great Sisser Pic. I will take it anyway!
The Bryce Fam
Auntie Megan, Parker, and Uncle Ricci. Parker's new pose with his 'rents...he has to always try and hug them around their necks. Too funny...I love that kid!
Great Ninny with the littlest great-grandkiddos
Grammy with her Momma (aka Ninny)
Grammy, Ninny, and Grampy
Auntie Heather with 2/3 of her boys...Jon and Brodie
3 out of 4 Bennett Girls...Mommy, Auntie Megan, and Auntie Heather.
We had a relaxing day with the family. We headed home around 6ish so we could get the girls in bed and Mommy had to prepare for some SERIOUS Black Friday shopping.
I am so thankful for my family and our health. We have so many blessings and I enjoy every minute I get to spend with some of the people I love the most in this world. Happy Thanksgiving...I am truly grateful for all my many blessings!
