Back on August 1 we began our POTTY TRAINING ADVENTURE with Landry. She did so much better than I expected. Ashton was so easy that I just had a feeling that since I got off easy with Ashton there was no possible way I would have it easy the second time around too. I was very pleasantly surprised by our Little Lan-Lan P!
I only bought ONE package of pull-ups and I still have 5 left. I had to throw away a bunch of dry diapers and dry pull ups after bedtime and naptime almost everyday because they were completely DRY. So on Monday, I decided that since she has been dry when she wakes up after bedtime and naptime from the day we started potty training and since she has been potty trained during the day, I should go ahead and put her in "night-night panties".
So Monday after I gave the girls an early bath, I put "night-night panties" on LP. I had her go potty before she went to bed and just didn't mention anything about a pull up...and she didn't either. She went to bed with panties...the thicker Gerber training panties = night-night panties.
When she woke up on Tuesday morning, she was completely DRY!! We all made such a HUGE deal of how awesome that was and she was so stinkin' proud of herself. {Watching the girls beam with pride over things they have done is one of the best things about being a parent...it is totally awesome}. So when it came time for her nap, she asked for a pull up. I told her she didn't need one...and she was a little nervous since she is a creature of habit and routine. But she ended up going down for her nap in panties....and she woke up dry!
She has been in panties 100% of everyday for the last week...which means that she is OFFICIALLY POTTY TRAINED!!!!!
As a BIG GIRL 100% Potty Trained Reward, I surprised her with a few big girl things. I bought her a leotard, a princess tutu skirt, sparkly pink shoes, and a princess headband. She now has her very own, not a hand-me-down dress up outfit...a Princess Fairy Outfit.
This girl is totally in love with her new outfit. I was able to get her to stop twirling just long enough for me to get a couple of pictures. {I am so bummed that the pictures aren't of the best quality.}
Our 100% Potty Trained Little Princess Fairy!
Less than two months from the day we started potty training and we are done...wooo-hooo!
Landry is 2 years and 8 months old or 32 months old.
How is this EVEN possible...my baby is not much of a baby anymore....sigh.
We are so proud of you Landry Paige!!
