THIRD Grade.

We all survived Ashton's first week of school as a third grader!

This day was finally here....Ashton began her journey as an upper elementary student. Lots of new changes come along with being a third grader. I still cannot believe it...the words are weird coming out of my mouth!  She was a little nervous, but excited at the same time on Monday.  She was up and ready before I went in to wake her up.

(You can tell it was early in these pictures, all of our eyes were still puffy and not really awake yet.)

She was bummed to find out that she has PE on Mondays so that meant she couldn't wear the outfit she wanted on the first day. This has happened every year so far.

Our Phenomenal THIRD Grader!

She was ready to ROCK third grade...

This was how I left my BG for her first day!

At the end of her first day, I always take the Ashton for a little treat to celebrate a great day! This year since it was ridiculously HOT, we decided it would be a great idea to grab some ice cream from Cold Stone.

Since Ashton wasn't able to wear her "First Day Dress" on the first day, she had to wait until the third day of school...

And of course she had to sport her Spirit shirt today...
And Lil Sisser had to get in on the picture too...

She had a wonderful first week of school. She loves her teacher, she loves the independence and more responsibility that comes with third grade (so far).  I know this a year full of many transitions and some will be harder than others. I know she will learn and grow so much this year, I cannot wait to see how she continues to blossom into the smart, caring, and responsible girl she is.  We are excited for her and we hope she has a wonderful third grade year. We are so proud of her!

i have a plan. let's just cap out at 3rd grade and not get any older. maybe we can stop them all in their tracks right there?! :)
