A Mimi In the House!

This evening the girls had a special visitor for a very special little treat and they were both so excited!  Mr. JJ planned a surprise party for Miss Rebecca and at first we weren't going to go since we weren't able to get a sitter. But, Miss Jodi asked her mom (aka Macy's and Carly's "Mimi") if she minded watching all four girls. She was already going to watch Macy and Carly and she ever so graciously accepted to come to our house to watch the girls.   We thought this was the best idea so Landry would be in her own element and "Mimi" could put her to bed at her normal bedtime.

So "Mimi" headed on up to our house and the Leonard4 met here too. We decided that Macy and Carly would just stay for a sleepover so Mimi could put the Big Girls to bed too...then enjoy a quiet evening to herself.  We thought that was  a pretty good plan...but you know how plans go when there is a two year old involved!

Ashton and Landry were beyond thrilled....we got "Mimi" a little token of our appreciation and the girls colored her little a "Thank You "note...

All was well when we left....Miss Jodi snapped a picture of "Mimi" and all four girls...

...and we headed to the party destination to wait for Miss Rebecca and Mr. JJ to arrive for the big surprise!

It was such a great party...JJ did a fantastic job of planning the evening and Miss Jodi was the official photographer for the event...
the cake not only looked yummy, it was absolutely DELISH!

Miss Jodi captured the Big Moment perfectly....I love this picture! Miss Rebecca looks beautiful and so surprised and Mr. JJ was so happy (and relieved) to have pulled it off!

After many of the guests left, we were able to get a few pics with the Birthday Girl and while we waited for her, we took some Couples pics too.

I  love that Miss Jodi snapped this picture of our bald hubbies looking at the wine and "discussing"...they are so cute!

I love this picture of JJ and Rebecca....they are such a beautiful couple and we were so happy to celebrate Rebecca's special day with her! It was a great night and one that I think she will remember. JJ didn't leave out any detail...my favorite part was the slide show full of pictures from Rebecca's life and her sweet family and closest friends sharing a few memories...it was awesome!

When we got home, I was hoping that "Mimi" had had an easy evening and that bedtime with Landry wasn't an issue. We knew the three big girls would be no problem, but we weren't so sure about Landry.

Poor Mimi....Landry did not do very well at bedtime...she screamed and cried for a long time. It actually got to the point where the Big Girls kept telling "Mimi" she should call us to come home. They were a bit uncomfortable...but good thing "Mimi" is a pro and she handled it just so!

Needless to say, we were so thankful that "Mimi" watched the kids for us...we truly do appreciate her and the fact that she came to our house to spend the evening with our four little girls!

When the girls got up this morning, we got everyone ready and headed to Corner Bakery for breakfast where we met up with Mr. Bill and Miss Jodi so we could return their precious girls!

Macy and Ashton were super excited to sit in the way back by themselves...it is so cool and big girl to them. I had to snap this picture from my seat up front and I was glad I could get them both in the shot together.

Carly and Landry sat in their car seats in the back seat. Landry thought it was pretty neat that Carly was riding next to her!
(The angle was bad since Carly was sitting directly behind me, which is why this picture is blurry).

This little girl would not crack a smile or anything for me...go figure!

We love breakfast dates with our peeps especially when it is at Corner Bakery....yummm-o!

The three big girls entertained themselves with the word search and coloring...

...while LP conned Daddy into letting her look at pictures on his phone.

We had an enjoyable grown up evening, the girls had an enjoyable evening with "Mimi" and we had a lovely breakfast. We sure are glad that Mimi agreed to keep the girls for us an we loved being able to celebrate Rebecca's birthday...surprise style!
