End of Summer...

As you know, I love traditions and lucky for me my peeps do too. One of the many traditions we (the bryceleonardscheer fam) have is to meet for dinner the Friday before school starts. For the big elementary aged kiddos it is usually "Meet the Teacher" earlier in the day so we always like to meet for dinner. The kiddos love telling each other about their new teachers and classrooms and we like being able to spend one more night of summer together.

This year was no different, other than all of the kids will be in school this year! We will have 4 elementary kiddos and 2 preschool kiddos.   We met at one of our favorite local pizza spots for some delish pizza that both Grayson and Carly can eat too...that is another reason why we like this place so much!

The five big kids crammed themselves into a table all their own and loved every second of it. They especially loved that it was across the way from us (the place was super duper crowded so we had to get the two tables that were closest to each other).  They had such a great time talking about their "Meet the Teacher" experiences, laughing and giggling and just being without the grown ups.
Poor Lan-Lan P, she isn't quite old enough to sit at a "grown up free" table just yet so she was stuck with us. Not to mention since she is newly potty trained, we had to make about 15 trips to the potty=TOTAL beating especially in a crowded place and  especially with all the paraphernalia that goes along with taking a little GIRL potty...wow!

After we finished with our dinner, we took the kids to a spray fountain place in Allen so the kids could run around and play. It was a good thing Jodi brought her camera because between watching Landry like a hawk and running her to the potty 8 thousand times, I think I got a total of 5 pictures on my camera! So this viewing pleasure is once again thanks to Miss Jodi!

The kids had a total blast and the weather was perfect. It was such a great way to end the evening and the last official day of summer with our peeps!

Landry really wasn't in the mood to stop playing long enough to take a group picture, so MG tried to help us out by holding her. I love that Carly poses in almost every single picture she takes! I  love watching these kids grow up together, they are our family and we love them like our own! Jodi had a great idea to put each kid's stats on her blog so I am "borrowing" that idea too, so here are their stats:

Anna...almost 6 going into Kindergarten
Grayson...almost 8 going into 2nd Grade
Carly...4.5 going into Pre-K
Ashton...8 going into 3rd Grade
Macy...almost 8 going into 2nd Grade
Landry...2.5 going into the 2's class

Happy End of Summer and Hello 2010-11 School Year!
