Vacay ~ Day 3

Day Three of our vacation was absolutely perfect! We had some time to play on the lake with Mamo's and Papo's lake toys, had a cookout, and ended the day with some cards.

While we waited for  Daddy and Papo to make a run into town for some necessities, Mamo and I let the girls play in the water. They absolutely could not wait to get in!

sunscreen....check.  life jackets....check.  water and snack....check.

Our Littlest Girl is FEARLESS! She walked right up to the edge of the dock and jumped in...

...and she was ready to go again. She kept jumping in and even decided it would be fun to jump off the dock BACKWARDS!  Really?! Where does she come up with this stuff!? Mommy had to quickly nix that idea!

Mommy had such a good time swimming with the girls!

Mamo and Ashton decided they needed some time to chill, so they relaxed on the floaties tied to the dock of course, so they don't float off.  The best part is when a boat comes by and makes waves in the water....aahhhh so relaxing and calming!

Once Daddy and Papo got back and fueled up the jet ski, Ashton and Mamo were ready to take it for a ride! It is amazing what a difference a year makes. Last year, Ashton was happy to putts around ever so slowly with Mamo and the thought of going with a little speed freaked her out!  Not this summer....this summer she went fast....a little too fast for our liking so we had to tell her if she wanted to drive she had to keep it a nice safe speed for an  8 year old little girl!  It was so much fun watching her fly by the dock hoopin' and  hollerin' and squealin' with pure delight!

And while Big Sisser was out driving the jet ski with Mamo, Lil Sisser was "driving" the boat while it was still out of the water with Papo. She was happy as can be especially since Papo let her push all the buttons she wanted and he let her honk the horn a lot!

I just love this picture of my handsome hubs! He was getting ready to take LP out on the jet ski for her first time ever. I love this man so much!

Again with the fearless child....she couldn't wait to get on and wasn't afraid one little bit. Not bothered by the noise or anything. She was just happy to be going for a ride.  As soon as she saw Ashton on it with Mamo she said, "I wan do that! I wan turn!"

and off they went.....totally loving it! She was squealing and giggling!

While Daddy and Landry were on their leisurely ride, I took the opportunity to snap a few pics of Ashton jumping off the dock and swimming. She was having a blast being silly and goofy and cute!

Then it was ARB's turn to "drive" the boat before they put it in the water.  She pushed a button that startled her just a bit...but it was all good!

Mamo-the-Great and Oakley enjoyed some patio time while Landry enjoyed some ice.

Mamo loves to eat ice and so of course Landry does too. She kept going to the cooler to pull out ice...there are worse things she could eat I guess!

So then it was time to take the boat out to play.

Daddy and Uncle Todd love riding the tube together. They were on one tube while Daddy's cousin  Brad and his buddy were on the other tube.  And when you get 4 big boys on a tube you know there is going to be some competition! They had so much fun and I love watching Daddy and his Little Bro having a total blast. I love listening to them laugh and talk smack!

Landry didn't really want to ride on the boat. She wanted to jump off the back of the boat and go swimming and she wanted to ride the tube. So while they switched tubers, the kids jumped in off the landing on the back of the boat and swam with Daddy!

Just like the jet ski, Landry could not wait for her turn on the tube! She loved it even though Papo when super slow...she didn't care, she was just happy to be doing what everyone else was doing.  After she had been in the tube for a few minutes, she kept trying to touch the water and she wanted to touch the water that was behind her.  From the boat it looked like she was trying to jump out of the tube! Daddy said she just wanted to touch it!

ARB got her tube on too!  She rode with Daddy's cousin Devon. Again this is something she would NEVER have done last year. She only rode it with Daddy last year...not by herself with Devon!  It also helps that she completely trusts Papo as her boat driver!

After a fun filled day on the lake and some yummy dinner, the girls were wiped out! They enjoyed some snuggle time with Mamo while Mommy and Daddy helped clean up just before we put them in the tub!

It was so much fun watchng the girls on the lake today. I love watching them change from summer to summer and they look forward to playing on the lake as part of our vacation! They always learn to do something new and become more confident as well.  The joy on their faces as they have a total blast is priceless!
