Landry's 23 Month Update...

Twenty-three months. Are you kidding me? I really, really can't believe we have arrived at this last monthly update for our Littlest Girl. Next month she will turn TWO! I have really enjoyed doing these monthly updates, I think they will be so much fun to go back and look at when she is older. I only wish Blog Land had existed 7 years ago when our Biggest Little Girl was going through this stage.

This last month she has really been acting like a two year old. Here is a peek at what Landry has been up to this last month...

*She is super CHATTY! I mean this girl just loves to talk and ask questions. She is the queen of repetition. She still loves to ask "why" and "wut dat" and she loves to go down the list of what everyone is doing. She goes through just about everyone we know.

*People are always telling us how well she talks for not being two yet. It's no wonder with all the talking she does. If she is quiet, she is either sleeping or eating or doing something she isn't supposed to.

*She HATES getting dressed. It is quite the battle every morning and let me tell you she is a strong little girl.

*She does like having her "biper" changed most of the time. She has even been known to tell us she needs a "biper" change when we are out and about just so she can get out of her stroller.

*She loves her baths...because that means she gets to play in the water which she LOVES!

*She has two new shows that she loves in addition to Sesame Street and the Wiggles. On Discovery Kids she loves to watch Hi-5 and Hip Hop Harry.

*She throws things...tantrums, toys, dolls, strollers, high chairs whatever she can when she is mad or frustrated.

*She doesn't mind paying the consequence for her choices. She will do what she wants and run to the corner. We give her choices which she seems to like. If she isn't helping clean up or whatever the case may be, we tell her she can _____ or she can go to the corner. She often chooses to go the corner do her 1 minute and then she is ready to do what we have asked her. Stinker!

*She takes between and hour and half and two hour nap. She goes to bed at 7:30 and sleeps til between 7 and 7:30 each morning. She still loves for me to sit in the rocking chair to sing her songs to her and snuggle before we put her in her bed. I will be extremely sad when she is over this.

*She is full of energy and is busy, busy, busy! A typical toddler.

*She is very inquisitive and curious. She is very concerned about Daddy and Ashton when they aren't here. She is constatnly asking about them wondering what they are doing.

*She loves going to dance with Ashton. She even does her own version of ballet. She will hold onto our hands or the wall or whatever she can to get her balance and she sticks her leg out behind her. She says "Look my ballet." I have tried to get a picture but haven't been successful yet. It is pretty darn cute.

*She has mastered calling Daddy "Bobby" and every now and then she will bust out with "Miss Erin" instead of Mommy. She can say her name (Lan-Lan or Landee) and she even likes to call her sister "Ashin Byce" which irritates Ashton. She particularly likes to call for Daddy by his first name when she wakes up in the morning and when she wakes up from her nap. The funny thing is that I rarely call him Bobby. It is usually Babe or Daddy.

*She likes to say "Thanks Babe" or "Sleep Good Babe?" she is a parrot and copies much of what we say.

*She models us really well. She likes to get her dollies and tell them "look my eyes. Pay Nice. Dat not nice. You go coe-ner. Tell you saw-we". These little convos crack me up.

*It is the sweetest thing to hear her tell her babies "I luh you" and kiss them on their head. I love watching and listening to her play.

*She is really big into telling secrets in our ears. She will run up and say "I sec-it you". She says "spsssst. I luh you. spssssst". After she has told us a secret, she wants us to tell her one and she giggles uncontrollably. Love it!

She is such a happy girl. She smiles all the time and has the sweetest little laugh and giggle. She is very tender hearted and is very caring toward other people. She is sweet and spunky and energetic.

She exhausts us each day but we are always ready for a new day with her. Wondering what she is going to say or do. She makes us laugh and she surprises us with the things she comes up with. We love that she loves her Big Sister so much. We love her spunky little personality...we love every inch of our Littlest Girl!
