Our Valentines...

Happy Valentine's Day!

I love that Valentine's Day was on a Saturday this year! Usually it falls on a school/work day so that we aren't able to do much in the way of celebrating. But this year, we were got to spend the entire day together...we had so.much.fun!

Our day started with Daddy and the girls letting mommy sleep in until 9:00...that was soooo fabulous! I had wanted to make a special breakfast for the girls but that didn't happen since Daddy fed them while I was sleeping and not to mention that Daddy and Ashton had a softball meeting at 10:00. Anyhow, while Daddy and Ashton were at their softball meeting, Landry took her morning nap. On their way home from the meeting, Daddy and Ashton went by Chick-Fil-A and brought home lunch...yumm-mo!

The girls opened their goodies: matching "Snuggle Bug jammies", valentine bracelets, heart earrings for Ashton and a pink push popper for Landry.

After lunch and their goodies, it was picture time in their coordinating LOVE day shirts. This was by far the easiest time we have had taking pictures of the girls together...they both looked at the camera, they both smiled and laughed and we just got some really great pictures. Landry the clown even performed for us by sticking her tongue out like she was a dog..that kid!

Then it was Mommy's turn to take pictures with her two favorite girls in the entire world!

Next up on the agenda...time to ride with Daddy to pick up the chocolate covered strawberries he ordered for our dessert. Once we returned home, Lan-Lan P was ready for her afternoon nap! While she was napping, Daddy snatched a nap as well and Mommy and Ashton made a cute little craft. Ummmm...no I did not make the super cute Valentine picture frame, but oh how I wish I could! I ordered it from Oh So Spoiled. She makes THE cutest stuff and paints it all herself! Cara is so talented and I am absolutely in love with my frame!! Now I just need to put a picture of "Our Valentines" in it. Anywho, Ashton and I did paint the hearts and added crystals to make another door hanger. (We so need to come up with a different craft to do!) Landry's is the pink one and Ashton's is the red one.

After the naps were had by those that needed them, Ashton played her Princess game on the Wii while Mommy made her all time favorite meal for dinner...pancakes! I couldn't make plain old pancakes on V-Day so I made them pink and heart shaped. Ashton was so tickled and Landry, well she could have cared less that her pancake was in the shape of a heart...she just gobbled it up! She did however get to have bacon for the first time and she scarfed it down like it was the best thing she had ever eaten in her life. She also got to have her all time favorite fruit "nannn-na".

Dessert came after supper and both girls devoured their chocolate covered strawberries. Well, Landry really only liked the chocolate off of her strawberry, and Ashton surprisingly loved the strawberry and the chocolate (she normally isn't a big fan of chocolate). The girls took their baths, put on their matching jammies and headed off to bed...they were both exhausted from the night before. We did have to snap one last picture in their cutie jammies...

After the girls were all tucked in their beds, Bobby and I enjoyed a bottle of really good dessert wine and our chocolate covered strawberries. We watched a movie and loved our quiet evening together.

Today was a fabulous day...we enjoyed spending it together as the Bryce Fam! This is after all life as we know it with Ashton and Landry...we wouldn't have it any other way! We love these girls more than they will ever know and are so blessed to have them in our lives!
