"I Just Wanna Be a Big Kid...

...like my sissy!"

Now that Landry is perfecting the skill of walking, she feels the need to do things faster and like everyone else. What she doesn't realize is thaty she is an itty bitty thing who isn't quite so stable on her feet just yet.

Here is the story behind the picture...
Today she was in the playroom and discovered one of Ashton's bags/purses. She was happy at first just putting things in and taking things out until...then she realized she could put it on her arm...and walk with it! She immediately stood up and starting holding the bag out for me and saying "uh, uh, uh" and doing her sign for "help" until I put the bag on her arm. {Keep in mind she still walks with her arms up in the air}.

Once I put it on her, she had the most ginormous smile on her face and started walking with the purse. She continued for a looooooong time....walking with the purse on her arm, needing help putting it back on her arm, falling~because the bag is as big as she is, and needing help standing up {she can't do this on her own yet}. She finally got to the point where she was getting frustrated {screaming with each fall} so we gave her a much smaller "Landry sized" purse to use. Then she was a happy camper! She walked and walked and walked all over the house with that purse for the rest of the evening.

So when I put her to bed, I put the purse away thinking she would forget about it. NOPE! First thing she did the next morning, went straight to the playroom and found her purse. The whole cycle continued all over again. It is so fun to watch her learn new things. I would love to know what is going through her mind at times!

This is only one of the many things she does because she wants to be like everyone else...
