Field Trip #2...

Today was field trip number two for Ashton, but number one for Mommy this year. Daddy went with Ashton on her first field trip back in October to the zoo. So I was very excited to go on this one. I rode down there with two other moms and had a pleasant ride.

Once we arrived we had to wait a few minutes for the buses to get there. After they did, we got the kiddos lined up and ready to go at it. One other mom and I had a group of 4 girls...2 of them were ours. These girls were so sweet and really good! The aquarium isn't a huge place so the girls didn't get tired, and they weren't rushed either. We even let them go back and see things for a second and third time.

Our first stop was in the "Shark Tunnel". The girls were in awe of the sharks and other fish swimming all around them~I mean just look at Ashton's face! I was standing in the tunnel looking straight up when I took this picture of the Saw-Nose Shark.

Here is our big girl standing in front of the water fall...a popular photo spot!

And Mommy and Ashton at the waterfall~except you really can't see the waterfall in the background...hmf! It was really quite humid inside the aquarium which meant bad hair day for all...ick!

The girls were also in awe of the manatee...They would have stayed there all day....it was so graceful and they loved watching it flip over as it swam around! I only wish I could have gotten a better picture...

I couldn't help myself getting a million of these close up shots of Ashton looking at everything.

Ashton and her sweet teacher Mrs. Allen...boy does she love her! You can't really tell yet, but Mrs. Allen is going to have a baby of her own in August!

After making sure everyone had been to the restroom and accounted for, we took some class pictures and loaded the kiddos on the bus. The kids were starving and ready for lunch once they got back to school. We had a fun time and I am so glad I was able to go especially since I don't get to volunteer as much this year...just one of the things I love about being a stay at home mom!

What a fun trip! Glad you got to go and I know Mrs. Allen was happy to have such a responsible parent there to help. ;)
That picture of Ashton's face is great! Glad you caught that shot.

I really like the photo of the 3 girls touching the glass as the sea cow swam by...you can just feel them wishing they could really pet it!
