And she's off!
13 months old....holy moly guacamole! This last month has been a ton of fun! We are beginning to REALLY see her personality and she is funny and a little stinker!
13 Things about Landry at 13 months...
1. She is walking...she is still wobbly and can't pull herself to a standing position yet, but she can go! She wants to go much faster than her little body will take her which makes it hard for her to keep her balance~so she ends up falling. If she wants to stand up but there isn't anything around to help her, she will hold out her hand and say "uh, uh, uh" until we come help her.
2. She has mastered blowing kisses and even says "mmmmm" when she wants a real kiss. I love this! Now we are working on kissing with her mouth closed.
3. Every time we sit down to supper, she puts her hands together to say the blessing and most of the time it is before we even have the chance. She always has the most ginormous smile on her face during the blessing....too cute!
4. She gives the.best.baby.hugs and pats your back while she does it. A hug from her wouldn't be a hug if she didn't put her head on your shoulder. She is getting really good at squeezing too when you say "give me a BIG hug"!
5. She is hungry all.the.time or at least she thinks she is! Her favorite word is "nack". She will stand at the gate in the kitchen and yell "nack, nack, nack". She also calls every meal "nack".
6. She has begun to show us her mischievous side. Her favorite thing to touch that she isn't supposed to is the plant on the end table. She walks over to it, looks at you with her sweet little smile and slowly reaches to touch it. When we tell her "no, ma'am, no touching that is owie" she does it faster and faster with her big smile. Stinker!
7. Her favorite book right now is "Babies Clap their Hands". She does the motions with the book and when you finish, she will use her sign language for more and please so we will read it to her again....love it!
8. She understands a lot of what we say and tries her hardest to communicate with us. We hear a lot of "uh, uh, uh". She has mastered the signs for: please, thank you, more, milk, and help. She uses them at the appropriate time with the exception thank you.
9. She is 100% weaned...she only drinks from a sippy cup and is on whole milk...the transition was pretty easy!
10. There is nothing she dislikes more than having her diaper changed and getting dressed. Most days I feel like I should be in the calf roping contest in the rodeo. It is a total whippin' especially after her bath when she is slippery...man oh man!
11. When she is doing something she isn't supposed to like throwing her sippy cup. She will look at us and shake her head no. Sooo...she totally knows she isn't supposed to do it but does it anyway...boy are we in for it!
12. She loves to listen to music...she will "dance" in her cute baby girl way. Anytime she hears anything that resembles music...she dances!
13. The" Itsy Bitsy Spider" is her favorite song....she tries to make the spider with her hands and smiles the entire time we sing it!
There you have it....we could make this list go on and on. She is doing so many fun things and things we think are just absolutely adorable. We are also seeing her on her way to toddlerhood...man, how did that happen?! Her Big Sis is still her most favorite person on the planet...as it should be!
Happy 13 months Lan-Lan P...We love you bunches and can't imagine our family without you!

i so love this chick's spunky, happy attitude! i do think that she's going to give you guys a run for your money, but somehow i know that you will love every minute!!! :)
Awwwww...I can relate to so many of those things! How fun. I still love how she smiles so easily...people have to work at it with my girl! Great idea for 13 things for 13 months...otherwise, where do you end?!
oh how I love these updates! it's like i'm reading about the girl version of jagger! can I just say that I LOVE that she clasps her hands for the blessing? that is unbelievably precious! And yep, we have discovered touching things we're not supposed to and doing it over and over and over again with a big smile. Yep!
I'm so impressed that she weaned to whole milk so easily, that's AWESOME.
I can't wait to see you guys over the wknd of Feb 28th ... I'm coming to visit!! :)
Oh my gosh that girl is growing up so fast!!! It just seems like yesterday you were pregnant and stopping by Thomas to judge the science fair!!
