100th Day of First Grade...

Yepper....that is correct...Ashton celebrated her 100th day of First Grade! I thought it was hard last year but WOW....it seems like it wasn't that long ago she started First Grade. She has loved this year so far and I am sure she will love the next 80 days just as much!

The first graders were asked to dress like they were 100 years old. Ashton was excited at first because...well, she got dress up for school. She absolutley loves any day that she can dress out of the norm. As we started talking about what she would wear, she kind of lost the enthusiasm... she thought she would look funny! I felt bad because here we were basically teaching her about stereo types. There were several times she would say things like, "Ninny doesn't have gray in her hair" or "Mamo-the-Great doesn't wear that". My response (after trying not to laugh) was something like this: "Well they aren't 100 years old yet".

I was at her school on Friday morning and saw the other kids, and I do have to say that she was definitley the cutest little 100 year old lady there. Check out the pics of our "100 year old"...

The close up shot....

The full body shot....

We sprayed her hair with silver spray and added a bit of baby powder....

...add a bun, and wha-la...you have 100 year old lady hair!

Here is the 100th day snack....they took 10 pieces of 10 different types of snacks and mixed them together.
