Star Performers...

So after we opened presents and cleaned up, most everyone took a nap. I say most everyone because Bobby and I didn't nap...in our house if we try to nap, that is a guarantee that Landry will have the shortest nap on record!

So now comes the fun part...checking out the fun gifts! I think it took Ashton 2.5 seconds to get herself dressed in her new HSM outfit complete with a headband from Uncle Todd. She didn't even see the need to brush her hair. This was her response..."Mommy, we aren't going anywhere so why does it matter." How could I argue with 6 year old truth!

Papo took Landry for a ride in her new car all around the house. Her hands in the air show she was loving it...I only wish you could have heard the squeals and the giggles!

Ashton got a karaoke machine for Christmas...she didn't have the special type of CDs needed to play...who needs a CD? The microphone worked so she sang every song she could think of. The list included "The Star Spangled Banner", "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", "God Bless America" and the list goes on. Landry even knew what to do with the microphone, which Ashton thought was so miraculous and hilarious!

Here she is getting totally into it with her eyes closed! I have to mention that we set it up in the playroom in front of the full length mirror so she could see herself sing...she was in heaven! This little girl LOVES to perform!

And here she is really, really getting into it...just like the "real" singers do!

So when Landry went to bed it was time to break out the Wii. Bowling was the favorite game. Her face and form crack me up...

...but it worked~she got a strike!

Mommy and her big girl playing the Wii...I think by now we had moved on to playing tennis or baseball! We had so much fun!
