Christmas Morning...

Ashton and Landry giving hugs just before they get the "OK" to come out and see what Santa has brought...you know, when Daddy had the cameras ready to go.
********
Christmas morning has always been so exciting, but I think it is even more fun as a parent! Ashton knows the "Christmas Morning Rule" in our house. She is not allowed to come out of her room until Mommy and Daddy tell her it is okay. We always hear her on the monitor when she wakes up so we don't make her wait for us to get up....we aren't that cruel! So while Daddy is getting the camera ready (and this year we had Mamo and Mamo-the-Great getting ready with theirs too) she brushes her teeth and waits very patiently!

Uncle Todd sleeps in her room with her on Christmas Eve when he is here. The funny thing about this year is that the night before she set up a chair in front of us while were all sitting on the couch. She wanted to make sure we all knew what our "jobs" were for Christmas morning. The most important of all were making sure you were up at 7 am and your teeth brushed. So naturally, we were all up by 7 am. We had to wake poor Landry up...I hate to wake a sweet sleeping baby!

We had a ton of pictures and it was very, very hard for me to pick just a few...here are some of the faves....
Ashton coming around the corner and seeing that Santa had left exactly what she asked for: A High School Musical pillow, the HSM Gabriella doll, and not one, but TWO HSM shirts. Her reaction is so great and priceless!
Santa brought Landry her very own pink car like Parker's plus some fun goodies in her stocking.
Now Ashton checks out the goodies in her stocking
Landry got her very own phone AND her own container of what else...CHEERIOS!
After both girls went through their stockings, and the grown ups checked out theirs...Ashton finally spotted the Wii that Santa had left for the Bryce Family! Another priceless reaction!
Lan-Lan P with some of the loot from her stocking...poor girl was still sleepy, we did wake her up and all. She didn't really "get" it, but she loved the stuff!
We hadn't even had breakfast yet or started opening presents and Landry was yawning...poor baby girl!
Landry was only into present opening for a little while. This was one of the first ones in her pile.
She took a break from hers and "visited" everyone else...here she is inspecting one of Daddy's presents.
During our present opening Landry was so, so, so sleepy...once she had her blankie she was happy! She just rested for a bit. It is hard work being an 11 month old on Christmas!
Mamo and Papo helped Landry open her camera from Aunt Marie, Uncle Jeff, Peyton and Cameron. It was so perfect for her...she is OBSESSED with cameras--probably because she always has one in her face taking her picture. She even knew to put it up to her face...I mean forehead! It was kind of funny when she missed and put up to her forehead instead!
Taking a break and hanging out with Mamo-the -Great
Santa even brought Buster a brand new, super cozy and comfy bed...he is a good boy and all!

So Christmas morning was a blast. We had sausage cheese balls, cinnamon rolls, sausage-egg-and-cheese biscuits, and chex mix for breakfast! We were all worn out from the Christmas morning festivities! It is so great being with family and remembering why we have Christmas. We are so truly blessed and missed all the family we couldn't be with!

Coming up next...Christmas Day activities...playing with all the new stuff...
