So Landry's birthday is coming up and with the holidays, I am afraid if I don't start thinking about it and getting at least a theme...I will be rushing around in January.
We are having a hard time deciding what to do. Here is what we have come up with:
~Traditional First Birthday Theme: You only turn 1 once and this is the only time to do the "First Birthday" stuff
~Smiley Faces Theme: This is SO her! She has always been a smiley baby (we call her smiley for one of her nicknames) and people always comment on her smile and how she smiles so much. So we thought this would also be appropriate for her first birthday.
I have put a poll on the left side of our blog....We would love to know what your opinion is and of course you can always add a comment to this post!

You can always do a smiley themed birthday next year, Im sure that she will always be a smiley girl but you only get one chance to do a first birthday theme!

I like the idea of a traditional theme...with a little personalization. Obviously, you only get the first birthday once for the traditional stuff. But a little hint to look back on and remember how much "smiley" defines her personality at this age would be really special! I voted for combo. Landry has a happy, beautiful smile!
Just my two cents. Mom, Dad and big sis know her best and I'm sure will give her the best first birthday!!
I like the idea of a combo of traditional and smiley face---in fact the smiley face could be a montage of Landry's smiley faces through her first year rather than the typical yellow smiley face. Either way, smiley face, traditional or combo, you won't go wrong! Love, Mamo
