Happy Halloween!

As another tradition we always get together with the Leonards and Scheers and all of the kids trick-or-treat together. In the past we have usually gone to the Leonards neighborhood because it seemed as though their neighborhood had more houses participating. This year was a little different. Ashton decided she wanted everyone to come to our house and trick-or-treat in our neighborhood. It worked out better anyway since we have Landry and we were able to put her to bed as soon as the trick-or-treating was over.

We didn’t have Grayson this year…he decided to do some fun trick-or-treating with some boys from his class and neighborhood. While we missed him terribly, we were glad he got to take a break from hanging out with all the girls.

One other thing missing from our Halloween was Ashton’s trick-or-treat visit to Aunt Kynda and Uncle Chris’ house. Always after we finish trick-or-treating we run by Aunt Kynda and Uncle Chris’ house for them to get some Halloween lovin’ and Aunt Kynda always had LOTS of treats for Ashton. Now that they live in Bastrop, we weren’t able to visit on Halloween! We sure did miss that tradition this year!

Landry was a trooper…because her costume had her feet tucked inside, she couldn’t sit up by herself and she couldn’t be strapped into her stroller, so she was carried. It is amazing how fast 17 pounds of baby can get heavy. We left to go trick-or-treating at her bedtime…even so, she was very into what the big kids were doing. She also didn’t mind being in her costume…it was tricky finding a costume that wasn’t going to make her too hot.

Our two mermaids on their First Halloween together
Starring Ashton as "Princess Ariel"...

...and Landry as a "Mini-Mermaid"

L-R: Macy, Ashton, Landry, and Carly
(Anna didn't want to be in the pictures)

These girls were so polite saying "Trick-0r-Treat-Please"

Crossing the street holding hands...Ashton and Macy are such GREAT Big Sisters!
Daddy and his Lan-Lan P

Ashton's loot...just enough for a 6 year old...when the bucket got heavy, we knew it was time to head home

Resting after trick-or-treating...eating their one piece of candy and having a drink of water. Trick-or-treating is fun but also a lot of work!

Thanks to our peeps for coming over and trick-or-treating with us! We had the cutest Ariel, Cheerleader, Hannah Montana, Butterfly, and Mini-Mermaid on the block!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
