One of our other annual fall traditions (that we
LOVE) is getting together with the
Leonards for “Pizza and Pumpkin Carving”. We rotate houses each year to have pizza for dinner, the girls play while the Daddies carve pumpkins and Jodi and I hang with the boys and chat. It is always a lot of fun.
The girls choose the face they want the Daddies to carve on the pumpkins and they are always so excited when the creation is finished. Usually Macy and Ashton want
NOTHING to do with sticking their hands inside the pumpkins. They play and come to check on the progress sporadically. This year, Ashton thought she might like to stick her hand in.
Last year Auntie Megan (my sister) gave Ashton a princess pumpkin carving kit to use on her pumpkin. Ashton was so excited to have Ariel on her pumpkin! However, that looked like quite the undertaking and not enough time on a school night so she was just happy for Daddy to use the
pink pumpkin carving tools instead.
Check out the masterpieces…again, these Daddies are the best around!

Ashton braving the inside of the pumpkin...

Daddy and his Boo-Boo...Lan-Lan P was already in bed. However she did enjoy the pizza part of this evening and LOVED it!

Landry's Smiley Pumpkin on the left and Ashton's pumpkin on the right. At first she chose a simple face with triangle eyes and nose and a basic mouth. Daddy needed something with a challenge so she chose this one instead.

The finished pumpkins: Landry's, Ashton's, Carly's and Macy's

The big girls in their jammies and hair taken down with their pumpkins to finish the evening!
