This last month seems to have flown by…we can’t believe that in 2 months we will be having her first birthday! She has learned many new things and is so much fun…her little personality is developing more and more each day. There are also many new skills that she is learning. Check out her 10th month of life (or skip and go on to the pics)…
Of course we have to start with the pictures of her in the rocking chair. These are so much fun to take and even more fun to look at. When we did them this month, Bobby was manning the camera, Ashton was helping me entertain her, and my main job was to make sure she didn’t fling herself out of the chair in excitement. She was giggling and cracking up the whole time. I think she was smiling in almost every single one.
This girl LOVES TO EAT! She will eat anything we give her and she loves table food. The only baby food out of a jar that she is on is still green beans with rice and applesauce. Everything else is real food and most of the time she is eating what we are eating. We call her a bottomless pit. She can pack away the food and loves every minute of it. For a while she wasn’t loving peas, but now she likes them again.
Her favorite fruits are bananas, grapes, cantaloupe, pears, peaches, and Gerber dried diced apples. Her veggies that she loves are peas, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, applesauce and avocado. She didn’t love cauliflower but we will keep trying.
She has learned to blow on her food if she thinks it is hot. One morning I was breaking up her waffle into pieces and I blew on it. Next thing I knew she picked it up and started blowing on it. She did the same thing with her cheese quesadilla at lunch.
She also loves to eat: pizza, bread (of any kind), noodles, cheese, cheese quesadillas, yogurt, pancakes, ham, chicken, Gerber Graduate cereal bars, and of course cheerios, wagon wheels and puffs are some of her faves . We still have to break or cut everything into small pieces because she shoves whole things in her mouth otherwise. Oh...and Daddy gave her her 1st french fry...yumm-o!
She has become much more comfortable “cruising” the furniture. She often forgets that she can’t stand on her own and lets go. This usually results in her falling and getting some sort of bruise on her head or face. We say all the time she needs a protective bubble suit and helmet on her head.
She has mastered the art of crawling on all fours (FINALLY) and boy is she fast! When Bobby comes home, she crawls to him as fast as she can with the biggest smile she has, stops at his feet and pulls herself up using his pant legs so he will pick her up.

She now has two teeth on the bottom and no sign of any teeth coming in on top. She does pretty well without them. She has really gotten quite good at chewing…it is so funny to watch her eat. We have to watch her or she will fill her mouth with food like a chipmunk.
We also call her the “One Sock Wonder”…she never keeps her socks on her feet and will always pull one off. The other one will stay on for a long while before she pulls that one off too.
She is much too busy these days to nurse. She is really fast and only down to 4 times a day. One thing she always does when I am nursing, is she grabs on to something (her blankie, my shirt, whatever she can and just holds on. I am going to miss breastfeeding when the time comes to stop. (I didn’t get to do it this long with Ashton)
When she sleeps, she lays on her side with her blankie under her cheek, in her hand and in between her legs…kind of like a body pillow.
She understands what “NO” means and gets her feelings hurt when you say it to her. Her bottom lip pouts out, she looks at you with her big blue eyes and cries. I’ll have to capture this in a picture one of these days.

She has also learned to dance...really it is just bouncing up and down while she is standing up, but if you tell her to dance or she hears music, she gets her 10 month baby groove on!
So there it is…Landry’s 10th month. We absolutely love having her in our family! We love you “Smiley Girl”!
