Wednesday...7.23

Today was another boys day of golf… this time it was Bobby, his dad, brother Todd and Todd’s buddy, Joe Lewis. This meant that the girls got to have another girls day…this time lunch and shopping!

Ashton got to choose where we went for lunch and she decided the “chicks would go to Chick-Fil-A”. After a yummy lunch we ran a few errands before hitting the mall. While waiting for a prescription she was showing pictures and told this story of how a little old lady saved a baby squirrel.

So then it was off to the mall. Mamo spoiled the girls some more with two little outfits for Landry and for Miss Ashton a black and white polka dot and striped dress (that twirls magnificently). The best find of the day for Ashton was the leopard print jammies! Ashton LOVES jammies and she was so tickled that Mamo found these jammies.

Later that evening, Papo let Landry “explore” his face. She loved doing this…especially touching his nose and mustache. Pretty much anytime he was holding her she was reaching and grabbing his facial features. What a great Papo that he just let her do it!

The culminating event for today was the parfaits! Ashton’s favorite series of books are Fancy Nancy. Fancy Nancy loves parfaits. At a trip to Sam’s Club, Ashton was able to sample a yogurt parfait which she absolutely loved. On the way home from dinner, the boys stopped to get the stuff to make our own parfaits. So Ashton and Mamo had vanilla yogurt parfaits with smashed up graham crackers and strawberries. They were quite yummy!
